HWbot Team Cup 2013

Is anyone here participating?

Have to ask since I know you guys are looking for another excuse to abuse hardware like I do. ATM I hold the lead in two categories (1M Super PI) with my Thuban and Bulldozer chips but not expecting that to last for too long, you know how it is there.
Yes I can go faster and currently have a rework of my pot in the works for better performance along with repairing my smaller one to use if possible. Right now the Vantage and GPU classes are hot with some heavy competiton there. I'm just hoping at the end I can do well enough to at least have a few points I can keep.

Hey Kryton, Nope I didn't plan to throw down on the Team Cup. I have a super secret project in the works and i've been splitting my time.

Not sure about the others.

Good job on leading in two categories. Never did get me a bulldozer chip and my Thuban kinda sucks. :( So, from my perspective that is really quite good.

If you have a good Deneb, that's also included in that class. Piledriver also applies to the same class that my BD chip is in.

All I can hope for is to stay high enough with what I'm capable of to at least be in the running if you will. There are some guys that can bring it at anytime - It's comical how everyone is just hanging behind me, I guess they're just waiting to see who makes the first move. No, I'm not going to have a false sense of security with what I have either, I know it's gonna take more than that to get it done.

Most of the competitions at HWBot end with sandbaggers dropping their highest scores at the very end. I saw it quite often when I was submitting for MOA. Don't get me wrong I know LN2 is expensive so everyone will wait until the end to fire up their rigs but it never fails that the early winners are just target practice for the rest of the competition.

As for AMD procs, everything I have has already been benched and I hate to admit it but I haven't bought a new AMD proc since before Sandy Bridge was released. Given that I run a hardware review site, that is saying a lot.

I figured that would be the case.
I'm just gonna enjoy the lead while I have it and towards the end, clock it even higher to maybe suprise a few of them like I did in another comp. Caught alot of them with their pants down and scored 5th overall when I did that.

Been watching the HWBot news and noticed that 63 teams have entered this year. That is amazing!
