Comdex Day 2 Report @ Anandtech

Basically these are the highlights.

- Intel Prescott @ 3.20GHz
- New Pentium 4 FSB - 200MHz x 4 = 800MHz!! (posted yesterday)
- AMD "Barton" FSB @ 400MHz
- Dual Channel DDR KT400A
- Athlon 64 release target speed of 2.0GHz (currently at 1.4GHz)

I was really quite surprised as to how the larger companies handled their public relations at Comdex this year. Intel didn't have a booth at all, All we found was a single meeting room located away from anything of interest at Comdex. Once we got there the lady at the front desk said "no admittance without a meeting reservation." Likewise most of the AMD information was released in the keynote speeches and nobody at the booth had a clue what was going on, at least while I was there.
