AMD CPU Unlocking Done Quick
Published: Wednesday, February 12, 2003 | Posted By: Dennis
This unlocking guide is based on the same article that I used to unlock the XP2200+ processor in our Soltek SL-75FRN-L review. The mod involves "painting" across the two pins not on the processor but on the back of the motherboard.
I have even a better one, I just did it last night.
Take a small piece of wire about a .25" to .125" in length and form it into a "U". Drop the two ends of the wire into the CPU socket where the connection needs to take place. Insert your Tbred and boot up. Much easier than wrapping the pins and easily removed if need be.
Keep in mind this can and very well could damage your system so try this at your own risk.
