Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000 Review @ Hardwarezoom

There is a ton of good info in this review around the differences between the Canterwood and Springdale chipsets. I've also noticed that this Gigabyte motherboard actually has the right amount of memory slots, the canterwood comes with 6 instead of the typical 4.
"There is only passive cooling for the northbridge chipset, which supports up to 4 RAM modules. The AGP slot is just the normal AGP8x slot and not the AGP Pro slot found in GA-8KNXP. Since this board is made to be affordable to the masses, it is justified for the manufacturer to reduce these features to cut cost."
