Computex`2003: Expo coverage

"All the large expo events in Taiwan are under the patronage of the "Cetra", with Computex being their major headache and national pride. Most part of the Taiwanese budget comes from the turnover tax of high-tech companies, and admit this offers much more prestige and adds more interest than stupidly pump out oil and produce monstrous tractors dubbed "Zhiguli".

The press conference was opened by the big boss of Cetra, then handed over to the mayor of Taipei - well, we were really amazed and impressed..I managed to cross his walking way and immediately was drawn off to a more suitable place by the guards.. they just grabbed me by the shoulders and carried me over like a flake. Well, I really had no idea that guy was their president! "
