Western Digital Raptor WD740GD Review @ Hardware Zone
Published: Friday, February 27, 2004 | Posted By: Dennis
"The Western Digital Raptor just got bigger, better and faster with the recent introduction of their latest 10,000RPM Raptor drive based on the latest Serial ATA interface. The previous Raptor had a smaller capacity of only 36GB while this latest predator is packed with double the amount of space. Known not so much of being a SATA drive for the average consumer, Western Digital is redefining this new range of drives for the enterprise environment."
However if you run a Raptor drive in your daily workstation be sure to get two and create yourself a nice RAID0. You will never look at disk arrays the same again.
