DRAMeXchange: DDR2 problems

"With Intel aggressively pushing DDR2 to be the mainstream next year, many DRAM makers have validated their samples with Intel and are on now validating with OEM customers. However, as the contract prices for DDR SDRAM has risen to a level uncomfortable for OEMs and with the supply shortage expected to worsen in the second half of this year, will PC OEMs delay their wide adoption of DDR2?"
I seem to remember a similar thing happening with processors when the first Pentium 4's started to become available.
