Eteknix Competition Faking Update @ XSReviews

Grab the popcorn, and sit down for this one. Looks like there is going to be some fireworks going off on this situation.

"There has been some recent controversy when it came to light that the review website Eteknix could be faking their current competition for some AMD hardware. It was denied by the owner, and the issue was left as probably a hoax. However, after the finishing of the competition, two winners were picked and I was emailed a database screenshot that showed that the winners were infact, the owner in disguise."

I call Shenanigans! Well everyone remember that Ninjalane has real contest with real winners, and none of this stuff going on. 

*Redmax Update* I have actually spoken with "Andy" the owner of Eteknix and have had him on MSN Messenger ever since he launched his site.  Overall the guy seems nice and has been trying to figure out ways to promote his website. Well recently his MSN account was compromised and the person that hijacked it started spreading rumors about the site and the contest.  This of course got out of hand hence the crazy news posting.

I suspect a Trojan Horse was planted on his PC and the hijacker had been watching is chats for months.  This Just goes to show that you should always have antivirus running, scan for spyware and generally be smart about what you download from the web or click on in emails.
