NL: PC Game Reviews Roundup
Published: Wednesday, December 2, 2009 | By: WillHere is a couple awesome looking games to check out for the holiday season.
Rogue Warrior (PC) Review @ GamingHeaven
Rogue Warrior was announced two years ago and Bethesda held an event in Las Vegas which I attended - war hero Richard Marcinko was there to detail the game development and to show an early level. The title showed a lot of promise, offering an almost Rainbow Six style experience which relied on tactics and teamwork as well introducing Demo Dick - the temperamental main character whose experiences formed the foundation of the game.
Borderlands Gameplay Performance& IQ @HardOCP
Borderlands is a colorful co-op shooter in more ways than one, coming to retail after a lengthy development cycle including at least one redesign. It uses a familiar graphics engine, but with some tweaks and upgrades which have brought with it some unexpected performance challenges. We play Borderlands with 9 of today's best video cards.

VIZO Ninja HS @ LanOC Reviews
Published: Wednesday, December 2, 2009 | By: WillYep, here comes one of those moments that we post news on something that is not so much of our interest as much as we just like the name. Seriously we are Ninjalane and this product has the Ninja in it's name. So this is only fitting.
Companies have been trying to produce the perfect laptop cooler for years, trying to cover all range of sizes and focusing on unique hot spots of the laptop models. This is near impossible with one set mold, or at the very least spreads each aspect so thin it hardly does any good. However The people over at VIZO weren't satisfied with one specific mold. They decided that the best way to satisfy each individual user was to let the user decide their own measurements and fan placements, to meet their own unique cooling needs. The result is the Ninja HS, and VIZO has sent us a sample to try for ourselves.
I also think it is a laptop cooler as well.

The Death of Free: Will Free Online Content Like Hulu Ever Dry Up? @ Digital Trends
Published: Wednesday, December 2, 2009 | By: WillWith being a user of watching some TV I missed during the week on the internet. This subject is a very interesting one for me. It's a good read with some great scare tactics well placed inside as well.
"Did your father ever tell you there's no such thing as a free lunch? Well, most of today's industry experts would probably agree with him. The idea of "free" has become extremely controversial in the technology industry, especially in the case of online content. Rumors that favorite show streaming website Hulu will be charging for all of their content has most online-media-viewing junkies scared stiff. Sources for Hulu, after reaping the backlash of complaints, deny the rumors and say turning the service into a pay-only site is just not in the cards. Fair enough, but what happens when Hulu and other sites get desperate? Ad sales are down, magazines and newspapers aren't selling, and people are only accessing "free" web content. Will these poor economic conditions and lack of advertising force more web publishers into a pay-only frenzy?"
Ninjalane is proud to keep our content "free".

Silverstone ST1500 1500W Power Supply Review @ JonnyGURU
Published: Tuesday, December 1, 2009 | By: WillOne of our favorite places for abusing Power Supply has one of the biggest monster on the rack. I am very excited to see how the Silverstone 1500 Watt PSU does. I even wonder if the guys at JonnyGURU can even max it out.
In the time I've been reviewing power supplies here at jonnyGURU.com, I've tested big power supplies, little power supplies, and just about every power supply in between. Until today, I've never gone looking to completely max out my testing equipment. But that's about to change. Dear readers, I give you one of only two power supplies currently on the North American market capable of over 1500 watts of output. I give you the Silverstone Strider Series ST1500.
I'm not telling. Go read it.

NL: PC Game Reviews Roundup
Published: Sunday, November 29, 2009 | By: WillHere is a couple PC games that should make every seasoned gamer extremely happy to see.
StarCraft 2 Preview (PC) @ Gamingheaven
StarCraft was not only an amazing seller for Blizzard but it is still played in certain parts of the world and has turned into what you could safely classify as a "timeless strategy game". There is still no confirmed release date for Starcraft 2: Wings Of Liberty on the PC but we did manage to get some hands on time at the show floor of G-Star 2009, a gaming convention at BEXCO in Busan, South Korea.
Serious Sam HD (PC) Review @ Gamingheaven
If you are as old as me you will fondly remember many nights spent mindlessly shooting a bizarre array of aliens in Serious Sam. This game was so much fun that it was really hard to put it down, even when you beat it, several times. Croteam have recently released the ‘HD' version of the game using the updated Serious 3 engine but is it really worth revisiting?

With the advent of their FTW and Classified series of boards, EVGA has taken the reins at the forefront of the enthusiast segment. In this review we take a look at their new P55 FTW."
There now don't you feel better about yourself.

Kingpin Cooling Single GPU Competition with LN2 by Deanzo
Published: Monday, November 30, 2009 | By: WillExtreme cooling and extreme overclocking is just to cool in our eyes.
One of the top guys in the extreme cooling arena is showing everyone how it is done. The GPU on the other hand looks to be the victim in this competition.
Card preparation is KING. With a restriction on the maximum CPU speed that can be utilised, the graphics card becomes the key component. This also opens the competition up to be more competitive.
Skills like card insulation, voltage manipulation and temperature management come into their own. Below I've added some pictures of both my MSI 5870 and ASUS Rampage Extreme II being prepared, as well as a couple of pictures from other competitors." -
Fractal Design - Define R2 System Enclosure review @ Metku
Published: Sunday, November 29, 2009 | By: WillIf anyone knows anything about Ninjalane they would know that we love unique cases that have tons of extra functions to them. This little review of a case from Fractal Designs looks to be right up our alley for unique design.
"A while ago I saw a case called Define R2 from a Swedish manufacturer, Fractal Design. I thought the specs were great and the price was very reasonable, if it was able to deliver what it promised. Now we will find out!"
Extra parts to plug unused fan holes. Brilliant!

NVIDIA- Past, Present & Future: An Interview with Jen Hsun Huang @ t-break
Published: Wednesday, November 25, 2009 | By: WillSomething to read for the NVidia fans out there and something to loathe for ATI fans. However you look at it. In the end it is something of interest for many people.
"When we started NVIDIA, there were three of us- Chris, Curtis and myself. Chris and I had families and Curtis was single so we'd always go to his house and that would be the NVIDIA HQ. Chris and Curtis were upstairs in their own rooms with their own workstations working on NV1 while I had the downstairs dinging room table and used to sit there and figure out our strategy, our vision. It was pretty quiet- mostly just thinking and reading and reaching out to Venture Capitalists trying to figure out how to get the company off the ground."
Pretty cool stuff really.

Review of MSI NF750-G55 motherboard @ Testseek
Published: Wednesday, November 25, 2009 | By: WillThe P55 chipset motherboards are all over the place. Here is a review on the MSI board for all to check out. Before you do that though checkout our review on the new EVGA P55 FTW to get a good comparison.
"By the specifications of the NF750-G55 it's easy to conclude that MSI has worked hard to produce something a little extra with this board. The board offers support for SLI, Hybrid SLI and has some interesting proprietary technologies of MSI, like the "Easy OC Switch". In this review I will not test the SLI functionality since it's been done before, instead I will focus on the integrated GeForce 8200 chip and see what it can produce in terms of performance..."
Shameless self plugging.
