Inside the Gigabyte Nan-Ping Factory @ Guru3D
Published: Friday, June 12, 2009 | By: WillHere is something to make the inner geek happy. A huge tour of the Gigabyte factory with some great pics. It is really an amazing sight to see with all those workers putting this awesome hardware together.
THIS YEAR we were in Taiwan / Taipei to attend the Computex 2009 exhibition. Gigabyte Technology has a total of four manufacturing plants, and one of them is located roughly 45 minutes outside that big city called Taipei.
To seize the moment and opportunity, we figured it would be a good idea to visit them and have a look inside that massive building of theirs.
The factory is called the Nan-Ping factory and open as Gigabyte is, we were allowed to photograph the entire production process so we can show you what is happening inside, while that motherboard or VGA card is being built.I would go nuts trying to put all those small components on, all day.

MSI Eclipse Plus Review @ OCC
Published: Thursday, June 11, 2009 | By: WillOnce again Ninjalane was very impressed with what MSI has coming out for our readers that we saw at Computex. Here is a new X58 beast that sports the awesome NF200, and a layout very similar to another more "Classified" motherboard.
"MSI has certainly delivered a great board with the Eclipse Plus, overclocking my i7 to 4GHz was fairly easy although with base clock frequencies past 200 some moderate tweaking had to be done, I even managed to get a CPU-Z at 4.5GHz. If an overclock fails, the motherboard must restart three times to clear - an annoyance but with the clear CMOS button near the PS/2 ports users can easily reset the BIOS and continue overclocking. The BIOS has plenty of options, and worked without a hitch minus a small glitch that I overcame with some work and CMOS clearing, but was likely due to (possibly unstable) overclocking runs. The memory voltage was being loaded at 1.2V rather than 1.6V, and a few other anomalies. Memory support only goes up to 1333MHz, with 1600MHz being possible through overclocking although higher is possible - it worked fine in testing although XMP support may have had a tiny bit of trouble. MSI finally solidified the color scheme to black and blue, removing the heinous copper heat sinks that stood out like sore thumbs and alternatively used matching heat sinks with metal casings with MSI's logos and created a much more serious looking board!"
Did you get that one?

Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P Motherboard Review @ Legit Reviews
Published: Thursday, June 11, 2009 | By: WillHere at Ninjalane we have two mind sets towards computer hardware. We love the ultra expensive super cool stuff to play with. Then the responsible best bang for the buck side always tends to step out. This board here from Gigabyte looks to be right on par with this kind of thinking.
"The GA-MA770T-UD3P uses Gigabyte's famed Ultra Durable 3 technology on this budget friendly AMD socket AM3 platform. This technology brings 2 oz copper PCB and further helps to reduce the system temperature and dramatically enhance the performance. Based on AMD 770 chipset, the GA-MA770T-UD3P supports all the 45nm AMD AM3 Phenom II series processors that feature DDR3 memory controllers and HyperTransport 3.0 technology. To top all that off the board also features Easy Energy Saver technology to help conserve power and be green friendly. Not a bad list of features considering this board retails for just $79.99 shipped at Newegg! Add in one of the $87 AMD Athlon II 250 3.0GHz dual-core processors and you have a motherboard and processor for under $170.."
Sweet price for such overclocking potential.

Wacom Intuos4 Professional Pen Tablet @ Techgage
Published: Wednesday, June 10, 2009 | By: WillOkay, okay this news post of a Wacom Pen Tablet is all me here. Being in the graphic design industry I cannot see how anybody can use photoshop without one.
"Wacom's tablets have long been considered an industry standard, and reasons as to why are obvious to anyone who uses them. Though the Intuos3 was a masterpiece of a tablet, the Intuos4 improves things all-around, such as with a higher level of sensitivity, LED-labeled quick-keys, removable USB cable, improved design and more."
I likey, likey.

Scythe Mugen 2 CPU Cooler @ Pro-Clockers
Published: Wednesday, June 10, 2009 | By: WillHuge heatsinks are just awesome to look at. Then if they perform as well as there size it is a huge PLUS too. The first Mugan was a beast, but this one looks to take the cake.
"Today's review sample was originally a pretty good cooler in its earlier days. The Mugen cooler was a favorite of many reviewers that had the pleasure of reviewing it. Performance was right there with the Noctua NH-U12P, Tuniq Tower 120 and many others we regarded as very good coolers. However, the new version is not only compatible with the new Intel i7 processor, but is heavier, taller and comes with a better performing cooling fan. Is it enough to put it at the top of the list with the likes of the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme and the new Zalman CNPS 9900 LED? We shall see."
Hey Scythe where is Ninjalanes to play with?

MSI 790FX-GD70 @ Bjorn3D
Published: Tuesday, June 9, 2009 | By: WillAt Computex 2009 this year Ninjalane was very impressed with the new stuff on the horizon from MSI. Here is a review of the new AMD 790FX-GD70 motherboard that looks great, and the layout is just about perfect.
Our review of the 790GX-G65 left us with a nice taste in our mouth. Made us want the dessert of MSI motherboards. Well in this case, careful what you wish for because you just might get it! Today we are reviewing MSI's latest in AMD motherboards; The MSI 790FX-GD70. There where a few things that snagged us from before and MSI fixed all these little problems in their enthusiast board and even added a whole lot more that we didn't expect. From nice little knobs that overclock for you to extra voltage controls all the way to quad crossfire support, they give it all. When you open it you just expect great things. Well lets go take a look.
What can I say I also like the darker colors on a motherboard.

NL: PC Game Reviews Roundup
Published: Tuesday, June 9, 2009 | By: WillIt has been a little while since we looked at some of the PC game reviews out there. So let's take the time to look over a few.
H.A.W.X. PC Game Review @ TestFreaks
"When you hear the name Tom Clancy, you think of his books first and then a very close second, the games that bear his name. The majority of his games, like the Rainbow Six collection are all about teamwork, stealth and tactics. The game I have for review today veers a bit off from the norm of his games, it’s called H.A.W.X. and it’s a flying game, not a flight simulator, more of an arcade style combat flight game. H.A.W.X. is set in the near future where corporations have basically replaced government run military in many countries, they’re mercenaries essentially. "
Helldorado (PC) Review @ GamingHeaven
"Helldorado is the sequel to Desperados, an action strategy game set to appeal to diehard fans of the franchise... for the rest of us however the game has one or two shortcomings which might be a deal breaker."
Tunnel Rats (PC) Review @ GamingHeaven
Tunnel Rats tells the story of an American soldier in the Vietnam War. His helicopter is shot down and he enters into a one man rampage through Vietnam while trying to escape the hostile environment and the aggressive Vietnamese soldiers.

Computex coverage on its way
Published: Friday, June 5, 2009 | By: DennisWell its Saturday afternoon here in Taiwan which also marks the last day of Computex. The last day is typically the one that is also open to the public making the show floor extremely crowed.
For us Computex was extremely productive, we had some great meetings with everyone we had intended to contact including some that should materialize into additional support for Ninjalane.com. Computex did appear to be noticeably smaller this year. Several companies didn't have show booth while others decided to take advantage of the marketing opportunity and invest a lot of time and effort into the show.
For instance Foxconn had a huge booth last year complete with overclockers and lots of LN2. This year they resorted to having only a VIP suite in the Hyatt that was only open to Sales. Being that I have connections you can expect an exclusive Foxconn product tour come next week
