"Gamers of all styles will appreciate its stability, layout, and design. The Supercharged System Bus is quite the benefit which helps keep those frame rates and bandwidth up, while keeping the price down. It's really an easy choice and fills a void many gamers have been waiting for."

  • Thecus N2100 NAS @ Techgage

Published: Saturday, March 31, 2007 | By: Dennis

NAS devices have really come a long ways in recent months, but they are really nothing more than a mini server with better hard drive support.
"If you are looking for a quality NAS, the N2100 from Thecus is worth your consideration. It can act as a music and photo sharing hub and even an FTP server, among others. Though, the best part might be it's price."
Give me a Slackware system running on a TB anyday tongue smile

  • Abit IN9 32X-MAX 680i Review @ Neoseeker

Published: Saturday, March 31, 2007 | By: Dennis

"When it came to overclocking the Abit IN9 32X-MAX, it was one of the most forgiving boards you can find. Typically, a successful overclock will have the board boot into the OS, but with yet to be seen stability issues. But with this Abit beast, if I pushed the FSB to a frequency that the chipset didn't like, it simply wouldn't post, just a black screen and the sound the the optical drive clicking. Once back in the BIOS, I could see that it had loaded the last known good configuration for me. That is quite the blessing; having the last functional attempt loaded up so I don't have to re-insert all of my previous timings and settings."

  • Ty4n Trinity Review: Bringing Extreme SLI to the AMD platform

Published: Saturday, March 31, 2007 | By: Dennis

Well we here at Ninjalane have come across a real gem in the motherboard world that comes to us in a time where enthusiast and system builders need integration more than brand loyalty. You see late in 2006 during the height of the SLI vs CrossFire wars. Prototype board maker Ty4n created a motherboard that uses the better parts of both technologies for even better performance.

  • CeBIT 2007: Is this the end of CeBIT for Taiwan companies?

Published: Thursday, March 22, 2007 | By: Dennis

I guess its a good thing we didn't go to CeBit this year, but we are planning on being at Computex trip to round off the tech show season. We’ll also be announcing something huge at around the same time. big grin smile
"As everyone in Hannover, Germany begins the process of packing up and returning to Taiwan, the question that all companies are asking is was it all worth it? For many – including some of the biggest Taiwan IT names – the answer is no.

According to data released by CeBIT organizers Deutsche Messe, Taiwan was still the largest represented Asian country in terms of exhibitors with 602 companies attending this year. However, this figure was down significantly from 2006 which saw 711 companies attending, and the falling trend is set to continue based on recent comments from company sources."

  • Mushkin XP2-8500 DDR-2 memory kit @ Hardwareoverclock Austria

Published: Monday, March 5, 2007 | By: Dennis

Memory from Denver all the way in Austria, impressive. tongue smile
Nope, not a clue, hope it says good stuff. shock smile

  • ABIT AW9D-MAX 975X Express Motherboard Review @ PCSTATS

Published: Monday, March 5, 2007 | By: Dennis

Very nice motherboard, this board only comes with a single PCI slot and much to my amazement they included a floppy connector in the most inaccessible location ever. That is unless you mount the board upside down.
"The ABIT AW9D-MAX motherboard is based on Intel's top of the line 975X Express and ICH7R chipsets, packs in quite a lot to get excited about. This high end desktop chipset enables the AW9D-MAX to accommodate 533/800/1066MHz FSB Intel socket 775 processors. The four memory slots can be filled with up to 8GB of unbuffered ECC/non-ECC DDR2-800 RAM. Standard equipment on the motherboard includes dual PCI Express based GigABIT network cards, ABIT's AudioMAX High Definition 7.1 channel audio controller, eight 3GB/s SATAII channels, Firewire IEEE 1394a and two additional two port Silicon Image SiI3132 Serial ATA II/RAID controllers."

  • Danger Den Tyee GPU Waterblock @ techPowerUp

Published: Monday, March 5, 2007 | By: Dennis

    Talk about a critical review!
"The downside to that leak testing can be seen here, as there is a slight amount of discoloration noted inside the channel near one of the barbs. This is due to a small amount of the water that entered the block was not completely blown out after the test. I would consider this to be very minor though, as the water that will be running through the loop is going to do the same thing. This will have no effect on the performance of the block."
I mean I like to know my products are "perfect" before I used them but citing copper discoloration is a little extreme. The only way to fix that would be to coat the copper in something which will likely never happen in the water cooling industry.

Nice block though. big grin smile

We don't normally post console related items but the name of this modchip is just too good to pass up. big grin smile
"It has been only days since we reviewed the v1.0 of the Wiinja - Modchip that allows one to play Nintendo Wii and GameCube backups on Nintendo Wii game console. This time we will focus on the v1.1 and its new features and fixes."
I'm still pretty happy with the 360 and less of a workout.
