Athlon 64 X2 4800+ overclocking guide @ Hardwareoverclock Austria
Published: Sunday, November 27, 2005 | By: DennisThis guide isn't in English but they do talk some overclocking lingo via photos and screenshots.
"Speziell bei den Asus Boards ist es immer schwer, die korrekte Temperatur zu finden, bzw. zu glauben. Einen Anhaltspunkt braucht man aber, deswegen orientieren wir uns nach dem Bios. Mit 2850 MHz kamen wir auf die 47° Grad im Idle, und 56° Grad unter Vollast. Da waren aber einige Stunden schon vergangen."
Not sure exactly what this says but it has something to do with Asus and temperature while overclocked at 2.8Ghz -
Connecting Two PCs Using a USB-USB Cable
Published: Sunday, November 27, 2005 | By: DennisBack in the old days one of the easiest ways to connect two computers together was over a serial connection using a null modem cable, of course you could network them together as well but at the time it was cost prohibitive.
"As for speed, the bridge chip can be USB 1.1 (12 Mbps) or USB 2.0 (480 Mbps). Of course we suggest you to buy an USB 2.0 bridged cable, because of its very high-speed. Just to remember, the standard Ethernet network works at 100 Mps, so the USB 2.0 cable will provide you a transfer rate almost five times higher than a standard network connection." -

Quake4 Tweak Guide @ TweakGuides
Published: Tuesday, November 22, 2005 | By: DennisWhat a fitting name for a site that hosts gaming tweak guides. Almost as fitting at a site called Upgrade Alley.
"Despite the fact that tweaking Quake 4 is extremely similar to tweaking Doom 3, and after some delays, I decided that given the large fan base for the game, it deserved a tweak guide of its own. This Quake 4 Tweak Guide covers all the in-game settings in detail, including screenshot comparisons of image quality differences, and contains a wealth of links to important Quake 4 resources. The guide is rounded out with advanced tweaks which have been tested and work on Quake 4, since some of the Doom 3 commands are different for this game. All in all, the guide is a central resource for Quake fans and should help new and experienced Quakers alike." -

Published: Thursday, November 17, 2005 | By: Dennis"Foxconn Electronics (the registered trade name of Hon Hai Precision Industry) recently introduced its 975X7AA-8EKRS2 motherboard, which is based on the Intel 975X chipset. The chipset recently appeared at the Intel website without a formal launch. According to Foxconn, the motherboard supports dual-graphics technologies, such as ATI’s CrossFire (Nvidia’s SLI is not mentioned), and features a rear external SATA II connector. It would seem that Intel is doing a "me too", And I can't wait to test one out. -
Foxconn NF4SLI7AA-8EKRS2 (nForce 4 SLI Intel) @ Viperlair
Published: Tuesday, November 15, 2005 | By: DennisI'll let you decide how to interpret this review, there are tentative plans to get this and one other Foxconn board in the Ninjalane Labs for evaluation so stay tuned for the results.
"Packaging for this board was pretty stylish, the box has a semi transparent plastic sleeve with a window cut out that displays a chrome Foxconn badge, once you remove the sleeve the back of the box provides more info about the board."
Umm.. be sure to check out the 3rd page of the review for overclocking results and conclusion.
