DFI's 855GME-MGF Review @ The Tech Report
Published: Wednesday, February 2, 2005 | By: DennisI think this paragraph says it all.
"Holy poop! The Pentium M blows away the Pentium 4 in Doom 3. At 2GHz, the Pentium M beats the P4 Extreme Edition 3.4GHz and nearly ties the Pentium 4 570J at 3.8GHz. The 2.4GHz Pentium M leaves the P4 in the dust and beats out the Athlon 64 3800+, which also runs at 2.4GHz. Very impressive."
Maybe I need to start saying that more. hehe
BTW Soltek makes one of these boards with quite a few more features. These new M boards could be worthwhile to check out. -
NL: Review Block - Watercooling
Published: Wednesday, February 2, 2005 | By: DennisI haven't seen many new things in the world of watercooling but it seems that more companies are jumping on the bandwagon.
Take Corsair for instance, they have released a new watercooling kit that looks pretty darn cool. That is until you discover that it really is just a re-branded Swiftech cooler.
Viperlair has a scoop: though don't expect to see a shot of the waterblock, they seemed to have left it out of the review.
Swiftech H20-120 REV. 3 Liquid Kit @ Viperlair
Hexus is also reviewing the Cooler Master Aquagate that we looked at not to long ago. Check it out
Cooler Master Aquagate ALC-U01 @ Hexus
And now the moment you have all be waiting for........ *drum roll*.......
The shortest review ever, (almost)

Overclocking the Pentium M @ MadShrimps
Published: Tuesday, January 25, 2005 | By: DennisMost people view the Pentium M as a mobile processor and for the most part you would be correct. The Pentium M is designed for mobile applications that typically have power limitations and strict guidelines as to heat output. Well all of those mobile'esq qualities have come to the desktop with the help of some special motherboards.
"Intel does not want this Pentium M to be used in desktop PC's so you won't see a Dell or HP tower with an "M" tag any time soon. Third party motherboard manufacturers however have taken it upon themselves to give the enthusiast a possibility to run these laptops CPU in desktop motherboards."
And why do you suppose that is... -
Soltek Qbic EQ3901MAY-300P Review @ TR News
Published: Tuesday, January 25, 2005 | By: Dennis"IT SEEMS LIKE everyone and their mother is trying to get into the small form factor business these days. Motherboard makers have been quick whip up barebones cubes, but few have deviated from Shuttle's popular XPC mold. Not Soltek. Its latest "Mania" Qbic small form factor systems not only offer more expansion capacity than Shuttle's venerable G-series chassis, they also come wrapped in a wild aesthetic that easily sets them apart from the rest of the field.
These ain't no copycat cubes. "
We like the Mania cubes they are the bomb when it comes to SFF. -
