XFX 5700 Ultra Dual DVI @ Viper Lair
Published: Thursday, April 15, 2004 | By: DennisKeep in mind this is the DDR2 version but does have dual DVI outs for those of us with digital displays.
"While the XFX 5700 Ultra isn't the fastest card in the block, it is still a good card worthy of a recommendation for the performance and Dual DVI capability if nothing else. If you want a good, stable, fast video card that won't break the bank I would put the 5700 Ultra on your list of possible video cards to purchase." -

Published: Wednesday, April 14, 2004 | By: DennisHere is a cool mod that reminds me of what you can do with high end nVidia cards new and old.
"Unlike the early versions of the Radeon 9800 Pro, the latest 256MB cards are 99% identical to a real Radeon 9800XT! Yup! It has the same PCB, R360 core and even the same Hynix 2.5ns DDR II memory!" -

nVidia GeForce 6800 Press Release
Published: Wednesday, April 14, 2004 | By: DennisNVIDIA Launches GeForce 6 Series—Biggest Performance and Feature Leap in Company History
"“This is the biggest generation-to-generation performance leap that we have ever seen with a new GPU,” said Jen-Hsun Huang, president and CEO of NVIDIA. “In addition to the raw performance increase, we had two fundamental strategies with the 6800 models. First was to take programmability to the next level with the industry’s only GPU with Shader Model 3.0. Second was to extend the reach of GPUs to the consumer electronics market with a powerful and fully programmable video processor capable of multiple video formats and ‘prosumer’ level image processing.”"
I think they succeeded. -

GeForce 6800 Ultra Review @ NordicHardware
Published: Wednesday, April 14, 2004 | By: DennisWell its NDA gone day in the nVidia Camp so expect to see a bunch of NV40 Reviews. Here is one from Nordic Hardware
"GeForce 6800 Ultra is, as expected, the fastest graphics card we have ever reviewed here at NordicHardware. The increase in performance over the GeForce FX 5950 Ultra is everything from a few percent up to over 100 %. The differences will become even more remarkable when we get more DirectX9 tests."
Just about everyone is saying the same thing. -
