BeanTech BT-85 Acrylic Case @ The Modfathers
Published: Monday, September 29, 2003 | By: DennisI always thought of clear acrylic cases being cool only when you have a perfect cable routing and something really cool to show off. Though some people just like seeing their computer insides all the time I guess.
"So how overclock friendly is this case? It therefore was quite a surprise to me when I measured the ambient temperatures of the motherboard. My pre-installed average temperatures turned out to be higher than after! This really surprised me as I would have thought that keeping your system outside in a cool area would actually help. However effective channeled air clearly is the winner. Here are my current overclocked, and temperature readings." -
OCZ 512mb Platinum Dual Channel PC3200 Memory Kit Review @ Tweaknews
Published: Monday, September 29, 2003 | By: DennisOCZ usually gets very mixed reviews when it comes to memory. Some people get excellent results, while others don't. If you're looking for a cheaper dual-channel kit on the market, you might want to take a look.
"Being an unbiased website, I have to report to the reading population as to how a product performed and I am never about to sugarcoat a review to make a product sound better than it is. The OCZ Platinum Dual Channel Memory Kit would be an expensive stock or mild overclocking alternative to generic memory, but honestly any informed consumer would be better off putting your money into the Corsair TwinX PC3200 kit for the SAME money and be able to push your system to the edge. Because of this, OCZ's Dual Channel Kit being reviewed today will get the "Good Product Award" because it does perform perfectly at it rated speed, just not too much more." -

ABIT Siluro FX5900 OTES Review @ myWORLD Hardware
Published: Monday, September 29, 2003 | By: DennisThe original Abit OTES system was highly known for their original, effective and... loud cooling. It looks like Abit improved the cooling and now it's effective, but silent, though you still have to sacrifice one PCI slot.
"On 18th November 2002, NVIDIA announces their highly anticipated top of the line product, GeForce FX5800Ultra. It was touted to be the first ever graphic chip to be made under 0.13micron process with incredible core and memory speed, featuring DDR II memory that runs at 1GHz. Although NVIDIA was heavily promoting it, getting hands on one of them is sure hard enough which were mainly contributed by delay productions and high priced tag. Choice wise, it was the only DirectX 9.0 card by NVIDIA at that time." -
Corsair TwinX 4000 vs OCZ Gold 4000 @ Madshrimps
Published: Sunday, September 28, 2003 | By: DennisWhen it comes to buying one of the fastest memory on the market, it usually comes down to stability and performance, and, sometimes, price. Which brand to go with, it's only up to you. Check this review out to make a better decision.
"And in that respect, Corsair performed exactly as it was designed to. I've always seen Corsair as more of a "system" memory, and it's always been stable. Don't get me wrong, Corsair has released some the best overclocking memory on the market. Corsair offers many different memories, to meet the needs of many systems. I find their memory to be more versatile, in its application. My verdict therefore is a dead tie. Both are excellent products, both did what they were designed to do, and far surpassed that design. Overclockers might think, 266FSB isn't that interesting, because we’ve been spoiled." -
DFI LanParty NForce II Ultra @ The Tech Lounge
Published: Sunday, September 28, 2003 | By: DennisThe Tech Lounge takes a look at DFI's latest motherboard for AMD processors. The board looks great, and already proved itself to be a great performer in our own review.
"If you are looking for style, this board is a winner. If you are looking for lots of extras, this board is a winner. If you are looking for performance, this board is a winner. If you are looking for some crazy overclocking, this board is a winner. If you want to mount a heatsink with screws, you're screwed. That pretty much sums it up." -

SwiftTech MCX462-VT Review @ PC Abusers
Published: Friday, September 26, 2003 | By: DennisSwiftTech has changed their heatsink's design a little since their last MCX462+ heatsink, and I must admit it looks pretty impressive...
"We'll be comparing the SwiftTech MCX462-V against an all-copper Thermalright SLK900-A. Of all the many heatsinks that have come across the PCA testing board, that SLK900-A is the best. So no slack will be cut here. We'll soon find out if this SwiftTech is a contender, or another pretender."" -

AMD Athlon 64 FX-51 vs. Intel Pentium 4 EE @ Hardware Zone
Published: Thursday, September 25, 2003 | By: DennisHardware Zone takes a look at the Battle of the Titans - the brand spanking new Athlon64 FX-51, and a little upgraded, not-so-new Pentium4. Who wins? Take a look and find out.
"The new Athlon 64 FX-51 and Pentium 4 Extreme Edition are two of today's fastest processors for the desktop market. There are several key differences between each of them, but the main selling point for the Athlon 64 FX-51 is its revolutionary 64-bit core which promises to deliver more computing power to the masses while still retaining excellent 32-bit compatibility with current applications and operating systems."
