LianLi PC-73SL Aluminum Chassis *World Exclusive* Review @ TwistedMods
Published: Monday, October 6, 2003 | By: DennisLian-Li has been know for making solid, clean and unique aluminum cases. This one seems to be no exception, and is a great case for those willing to pay the top dollar.
"Just when I thought cases could not get any better, Lian-Li offered me the case of a lifetime; one that is so "perfect" that any flaws could not be seen during this full evaluation...From the soundproofing foam lining the drive bay cut-outs to the removable power supply plate and indented power supply rack; including the anti-vibration rubber washers and special screws for the super-duty hard drive rack, and the extremely clean and professional front swinging aluminum door, there were no flaws that I could have seen under a magnifying glass even if I tried...Lian-Li completely outdid themselves with this case!" -

RIAA vs Peer-to-Peer Part II article @ NeoWave
Published: Sunday, October 5, 2003 | By: DennisA Part II of an interesting article about how RIAA is targeting P2P users instead of P2P programs. So, if you're a constant P2P downloader, you might want to take a look.
"Over 800 users have signed up for the RIAA's “amnesty program” which would exclude them from lawsuits, as long as the admitting party submitted a formal admission (confession) that they were illegally sharing files, and made a promise to delete all the files, and not to engage in file sharing again. Users who have already received subpoenas, do not apply." -

ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB Review @ Voided Warranty
Published: Friday, October 3, 2003 | By: DennisEven though ATI Radeon 9800XT was recently released, Radeon 9800 pro still is a great choice for more budget-conscious buyers, that are looking for most bang for their buck.
"I could go on for hours about interlacing, Z-Buffer compression, parallel rendering pipelines, DirectX comparability, pixel shaders, etc., but I really don't think that that is what you want to read about. When you buy a video card, you simply want to be able to plug it in, install the drivers, and know that you are getting what you pay for." -

"As we promised, today we've got the latest solution for the Socket A platform - the SiS748 chipset developed by Silicon Integrated Systems. But since it differs from its predecessors in a single parameter, the FSB 400 MHz support, we'll leave aside the discussion of the difference between the 333MHz 400MHz FSBs but make a brief overview of all SiS chipsets made for the AMD platform. It can be useful even for those who are not interested in today's hero :). So, here's the row of SiS discrete (without integrated graphics) chipsets for the Socket A platform as they were launched" -

Thermaltake Silent Boost Review @ PC Abusers
Published: Thursday, October 2, 2003 | By: DennisHere are PC Abusers and their latest review on Thermaltake Silent Boost HSF that promises good performance without the noise of a jet engine. Here is our review for comparison.
"Thermaltake is a company that has long been known for making cool-looking things like cases, heatsink/fan combos, etc.. But they really haven't made a heatsink/fan combo that can compete with the usual performance winners, at least untill their most recent Extreme Volcano 12. With the Silent Boost, they are going after the market that not only wants performance, but also peace and quiet."
