Three Case Reviews - Various Authors
Published: Thursday, July 17, 2003 | By: DennisHere is the ever popular styling of the Chenming 301-KE, Aluminum Case @ A True Review. This is one of the pre-modded cases that have become so popular.
Next we have a Enermax CS-3071 Review @ DataFuse, another pre-modded case made from rather cheap and thin metal.
Lastly an Enermax X-Point CS-528 Review @ Tweaknews. This case is actually pretty cool looking and has a blue LED smack dab in the middle of the 5.25" drive bays but is made from the same thin metal as the previous Enermax case.
Of course this and other news brought to you by... -
Nexus iStyle Quiet PC Case Review @ ModFathers
Published: Thursday, July 17, 2003 | By: DennisWhat do you get when you cross a PC case designer and a Macintosh? Besides total ciaos and the desire for FedEx drivers to drop and run over your packages you get the Nexus iStyle PC case, it even has a handy plastic carrying handle.
"The lines of the case are all very smooth, stylish, sweeping and sleek. The case would definitely not be out of place with a back drop of Pine floorboards and chrome furniture in a sophisticated London or New York office. This case is perfect for those that prefer looks above all else. Your typical iMac user would revel if given the option of a high power PC with the looks of a Mac." -

Published: Thursday, July 17, 2003 | By: DennisCurrently there is quite a few mfgs of high performance mousing surfaces all trying to attain one goal. Have the slickest surface around. Ratpads does a good job and I wouldn't expect anything less from the Ratpads GS

Netscape Looks to Have Fallen
Published: Wednesday, July 16, 2003 | By: DennisThis is a really sad day for me, *sniff* the team at AOL dedicated to hacking the Mozilla browser to include Netscape centric stuff has started to be disbanded. This is basically a sure fire sign that the Microsoft money given to AOL not to long ago has finally killed off Netscape.
Mozilla is still rolling strong and aside from the stupid “hella ghey” Mozilla throbber logo the browser is everything Netscape 7 is/was.
Slashdot also has a little something up about a Mozilla foundation that is being started to ensure that the Mozilla browser will continue on.

Soltek Qbic EQ3701M Review @ Hardware Zone
Published: Wednesday, July 16, 2003 | By: DennisThe Qbic cases are actually pretty dang cool especially since Soltek has started expanding the available chipset options.
"Today we shall peer into Soltek’s Qbic EQ3701M, which is their latest SFF offering based on the nForce2-GT (nForce2 IGP + MCP-T) platform. At first glances, the most prominent features are its pretty all-mirror front panel and the system’s ability to accept dual 5.25” drives."
Soltek seemed to like the review so much they spammed everyone to let them know. -
Enermax UC-A07FATR2 Multifunction Panel Review @ Mikhailtech
Published: Wednesday, July 16, 2003 | By: Dennis"Surprisingly, things actually get worse at night. Anything below the horizon is invisible. Even looking straight on it's next to impossible to make out the digits. Once again you have to look slightly from the top down to see anything, meaning if you get this unit check to see if either your PC is on the floor or you have an available bay that's below your line of horizon. This was actually an issue with the DigiDoc as well, but backlighting still beats out side LED illumination. I guess you can't have it all for cheap though. "
This is basically the same thing as this transfer panel reviewed here except about 200x cooler. -
iRiver IMP-400 MP3 CD Player Review @ KEPTech
Published: Wednesday, July 16, 2003 | By: DennisI normally don't list things like MP3 players in the Ninjalane daily news but this one is pretty cool.
"The test I gave the SlimX 400 was taking it to school and back for 2 months.
The ability to display 37 languages (Chinese, Japanese, German, etc.) was useful as I listen to Chinese music and the usual stuff you hear on the radio."
Along with games and a fancy remote controller thing. -
DFI LanParty Pro875 (Canterwood) Review Posted
Published: Wednesday, July 16, 2003 | By: DennisThose of you familiar with Ninjalane will know that this is the 3rd DFI LanParty motherboard that we have reviewed which now includes the entire LanParty series.
It is pretty safe to say that the new LanParty series from DFI has been a great success on many levels. In the case of the LanParty Pro875 it is rather difficult to find anything wrong. -
Scythe Kamakaze Cooler Review @ Dans Data
Published: Tuesday, July 15, 2003 | By: Dennis"If you've bought yourself a slower P4 with a lot of overclocking headroom, though - like the 2.4C model I talk about here - then you probably won't have one of the nifty top-end retail heat sinks. If you want such a CPU to Be All It Can Be, then a third party cooler like the Kamakaze may be just what the doctor ordered."
Is it just me or does this look like an old Alpha heatsink with a phatty 80mm fan straped to the top. -
Danger Den Maze4 Review @ Hexaplague-Hardware
Published: Tuesday, July 15, 2003 | By: DennisI'm pretty new at this whole water cooling thing and sometimes its hard to know what to buy.
" Danger Den is widely regarded as one of the best manufacturers of water blocks in the market today, and they have certainly earned this reputation. Their blocks have been top performers in their price range, and of considerable quality."
