Published: Wednesday, March 26, 2003 | By: DennisAfter much delay we have finally posted our review of the Epox EP-8RDA+ nForce2 motherboard. Considering that so many other sites have already done reviews of this board we mixed it up a bit by comparing it to one of our favorite boards, the Soltek SL-75FRN-L.

Published: Tuesday, March 25, 2003 | By: Dennis" Hynix Semiconductor Inc. is taking steps to cope with a 35% duty that may soon be imposed against the chipmaker for allegedly illegal subsidies from the Korean government, an official told EBN Monday.
Faqrhad Tabrizi, vice president of worldwide memory marketing at Hynix, said the European Commission (EC) had notified member countries that it will make its preliminary decision public at the end of April. He confirmed early reports that the EC administrative body indicated that ruling would levy 35% penalty duties on Hynix DRAMs. "

ATI Radeon 9800 256MB
Published: Tuesday, March 25, 2003 | By: Dennis256Megs is a good thing right? The only drawback will be the overall cost of the card and shown by this pre-order listing at Computer HQ.
"The Radeon 9800 magazine review goes on to claim that "While we're sure that DOOM III will run on cards with a 128 MB frame buffer, we also bet that the game (as well as game's based on Carmack's engine) will be able to take advantage of 256 MB." -
DDR Ram Guide II
Published: Tuesday, March 25, 2003 | By: DennisBring your frames compliant browser and check out the DDR Ram Guide at Overclockers New Zealand. There is some really good info in the review and a very patient reviewer.
" The PC-3500 Ultra uses hand picked 4.5ns ram chips, with an allowable voltage range of 2.6V to 3.0V. As far as I can tell, most manufacturers require people to up the V/DDR to 2.6V or 2.7V for high speed DDR modules."
Sounds like overclocking to me. -

Corsair TWINX512-3200LL Review @ Nordichardware
Published: Monday, March 24, 2003 | By: Dennis"When we confronted the problem with testing Corsair TWINX512-3200LL we became very insecure of how we were supposed to perform the tests."
Here is our review of TwinX for comparison.
They did get some pretty good overclocking numbers out of their modules despite using an Epox 8RDA+ as their test system. -
AOpen HP-590 Headphone Review @ 3dXtreme
Published: Sunday, March 23, 2003 | By: Dennis"Cranking up the volume I noticed the bass on the headphones was much more pronounced however there wasn't a vibration that I was expecting. At this higher volume I then began to play with the dial to adjust the amount of Bass and with the on/off switch. I was now aware that the vibration I was looking for wasn't in the form of a Force Feedback type vibration but it was more of a vibration within the headphones themselves that created the sense of subwoofer type bass. In games I could really feel the explosions, the bass was very pronounced, I then proceeded to put in a DVD and again I was impressed with the amount of bass these headphones produced. "
Uhh, ya Here is our review of the AOpen HP-590 for comparison. -
Logitech Z-680 Speaker System Review @ Designtechnica
Published: Sunday, March 23, 2003 | By: DennisDesigntechnica has posted a rather short review of a new speaker system from Logitech called the Z-680. I recently saw these at CompUSA and they actually looked pretty impressive especially since they have digital optical inputs though I'd hardly call them a bargain.
