Soltek KT333 Motherboard SL-75DRV5 released
Published: Thursday, January 17, 2002 | By: DennisI got this press release last night from Soltek stating that they will be building another 75DRV series Athlon motherboard, this time based on the new DDR333 chipset from Via. The board will feature a wide variety of Soltek features including a "Purple Ray" PCB and Red Storm Overclocking in the bios. Soltek has yet to announce the release on their website, Most likely due in part to changing specs of the new motherboard.
Speaking of "Purple Ray" sometime next week the Ninjalane Labs will have the Soltek SL-75DRV4 motherboard that contains this feature, keep an eye out for that review. -
Corsair XMS2400 DDR Review @ AMDWORLD uk
Published: Thursday, January 17, 2002 | By: DennisIt would seem that putting heat spreaders on your memory is going to become the norm in the near future. I would like to add that many reports say that these PC2400 sticks will overclock to PC2700 standards quite easily.

Corsair 333MHz XMS2700 DDR
Published: Thursday, January 17, 2002 | By: DennisI saw this memory posted on Corsair's website after I came back from vacation but didn't happen to pay attention to any of their press releases. The question is what makes this memory any different than the other PC2700 vendors? A CAS Latency of 2.0 . You can expect to see some of this memory around the Ninjalane Labs when we start our Pentium 4 reviews and system-building projects sometime next month.

Portals More Popular than pr0n
Published: Tuesday, January 15, 2002 | By: DennisAt least according to a report from Jupiter MMXI.
They claim that more people have turned to the net for the purpose of shopping than surfing for pr0n. Here is a quote of a quote that is supposed to explain these findings. "Porn is a great example of how to get people to pay for content. But it's not even in the top 10 - people have way more important things to do than looking at porn sites." How strange, I can't seem to think of any. -
