  • I'm Back!

Published: Saturday, December 29, 2001 | By: Dennis

Hello again, I am back from my trip and except for a few delays and lost baggage at the airport my vacation was fun, exciting, and relatively uneventful.

I've been looking back at what Breakdown had posted while I was gone, you would think Ninjalane became a pusher of Network Security and Linux. No need to worry, things should be back to normal within a few days. On a side note with the eventual release of NLv2 you will see quite a variety of news topics to browse along with the normal stuff already here so if you liked that HaxX0r security/Linux stuff keep an eye out for the new release.

  • SBC Communications now has 16% of Yahoo

Published: Saturday, December 29, 2001 | By: Dennis

In an interesting twist, SBC communications has increased their holdings in Yahoo by 3 percent. A deal to sell DSL service to AOL members, plus second largest shareholder in Yahoo, sounds to me like SBC is pushing not just getting people on-line, but helping decide what they see. SBC will be a company to watch in the next few years.

Here are some details about the new Linux Distro from HP. I've been waiting for this one. HP based their new High Security Distro on Red Hat 7.1, stripped it down and added 'compartments'. With the success of a proven Linux distribution plus HP's new team of Linux pro's will surely make for an interesting combination. I'd like a review copy of HP-LX. I hear it will be VERY expensive.
