Dual Processor DDR Motherboard @ 2cpu
Published: Wednesday, May 2, 2001 | By: DennisIwill has extended its DDR line of motherboards to include the P3, and not only for one processor but 2. The board even came with a couple heatsinks and fans as an added bonus.
Now if you will remember the layout of this motherboard is poor at best but from a performance standpoint it does quite well, for VIA. -
New Banners
Published: Tuesday, May 1, 2001 | By: DennisWell I've refreshed my banner ads. I never really noticed until today but just about every company that had an ad on my site is no longer in business. I guess that is what I get for not paying attention.

IBM Deskstar 60GXP
Published: Saturday, April 28, 2001 | By: DennisAll I can say is WOW! I knew that ATA100 was fast and heard the rumors of it rivaling SCSI but never found any benchmarks to support it. Until now, GamePC looked at the 60GXP, 75GXP, and the Seagate Cheetah X15, in a variety of benchmark tests. Not only does the 60GXP hold its own against the Cheetah but does so quietly.
I don't know about you but there is just something about SCSI drives and their chugging that is just harmonious, that is until they start to give off that high-pitched squeal.

Could Win2k become like WinXP?
Published: Thursday, April 26, 2001 | By: DennisThe tech-report thinks so, after installing IE6 they found that some new registry keys where added during the process.
Not sure how substantial this is though I suspect the key was added not to enable the XP protection on 2000 but more for compatibility with WinXP. -
What CPU is best for the GeForce3
Published: Thursday, April 26, 2001 | By: DennisThere has been an age-old debate on what processor is better. I believe the decision depends largely on what you are doing. For instance typical gaming systems have different demands than say a 3dsmax animation workstation.
With all things aside, the decision on what processor to choose may not be that big of a deal take a look at the latest benchmarks at the techzone and you will see my point. -
