    Geil had some great stuff on display, not so much in the way of new memory platforms but in trying to illustrate how they are different from other memory companies.
    The 2 machines you see here are part of the DBT technology designed to quickly control quality of each product before it goes out to the customer.  As most of you know that aside from abuse if a component is going to fail, it will do so in the first 3 months (ie the 90 day warranty)  Well Geil has noticed a trend in these failures that is attributed to a couple of factors.  The first is the module itself and the other is the chips that go onto the module.

    The big machine tests each individual chip as it comes into the factory and does a quick speed test to determine how good the chip is. (speed bin) The difference here is that the chips are binned, not the final module.  The other machine is a stress tester that takes every completed module and does a stress test to simulate 3 months of use in a matter of days.  The idea is that the modules that do not fail will last forever thus making the customer happy and saving Geil money.
    Their high end modules all comes with a fan heatsink combo.  The fan is the LED message type showing things like temperature and load.  As you can imagine the Black Dragon modules are sold without a heatspreader.
