VapoChill PE S478 Titanium Review @ VR-Zone Hardware

Published: | Posted By:

Have you ever noticed that all of the VapoChill reviews used Pentium 4 systems?? I think I know why. For the past few weeks I've had a VapoChill case here in the lab and decided to fire it up using a Soltek SL-75FRV. Installation was a breeze though was some concern with the evaporator. Not many review sites show you what the other side of the evaporator head looks like and for good reason is only a 1" copper disk surrounded by closed cell foam. This is the only thing that makes contact with your CPU and moves around quite easily. Needless to say I am down one XP2000+. angry smile

If you can get the system up and running the results are astounding. i.e 1.8@3.5GHz!
"Sheesh almost a 95% overclock from a B0 stepping CPU. Makes you wonder what if I had a more powerful supply doesn't it? Least I can stop thinking that people can't possibly use more than 400W efficiently. I now know there is a beast that could be unleashed with a larger power supply."
