ALi Gets 800MHz Intel License

"ALi expects to deliver samples of its M1683 P4 chipset, supporting 800MHz FSB technology and single-channel DDR400 memory, in the second quarter, the company said. Although ALi expects to spin off its PC chipset division as a new subsidiary named ULi Electronics this June or July, it is still undecided regarding what brand name will be used to market the chipsets, according to company spokesperson Eric Chen."
