WDigital Raptor Review @ HardwareZone

I still want one of these drives. Better yet, make it two.
"At only 36GB, the Raptor should be suited for most serial ATA RAID setups. In the tests, the Raptor scored very well in both the Winbench 99 and HD Tach benchmarks; and the results are very convincing, to say the least. However, the real test was with IOmeter, where we managed to truly see where the WD Raptor stands in terms of high-end server storage performance. "
The Raptor isn't as fast as SCSI and doesn't have a true SATA controller but seek times are very low and the platters spin very fast!.
