"If there's one thing I have noticed since I have been building AMD and Intel dual channel platforms is you have to get good quality memory and particularly on the Nforce 2 motherboard you need to have it exactly matched. Even though the tests we did today did not show huge performance increases it did show performance increases in every test just small ones."
Technically the reason for this is due to the minor memory timing differences with each stick of memory. These minor timing changes are outside of the standard RAS CAS timings that we all are familiar with.
