This is actually a pretty good article that explains why us hardware guys are always pushing to get bigger and better cooling methods. For me I like knowing that I have "the good stuff" even if I don't use it. For others having "the good stuff" can be the difference between running at 1.8Ghz and 2.7Ghz.
