Pentium4 LGA775 Stuffs @ Digital-Daily

"By the way, immediately after the emergence of first motherboards for LGA775 many reviewers started complaining about the brittle and unreliable design of the new processor socket. The most common problem is that after a few unsuccessful attempts to fit the processor into the socket the pins deform (or bend)."
I actually heard complaints of this very thing (fragile socket pins) long before the processor was commercially available, the sad part is that the extra pins are only there to supply power to the processor. It kind of makes you wonder what the future of the LGA775 will be.
