VIA K8T890 Chipset Preview @ Hot Hardware

"As most of you are probably aware, NVIDIA and Alienware have the gaming community buzzing at the prospect of running dual PCI Express graphics cards in a single system for increased performance. Although VIA hasn't made any announcements claiming "SLI-type" support in their S3 DeltaChrome 3D GPUs, they're going to offer support for dual PCI Express video cards with the K8T890 Pro version of the chipset..."
PCIe for the A64 is pretty big news and even though the "SLI" implementation isn't ideal there isn't much use to having it yet anyway.

Besides the VIA law of chipset dynamics states that the more chipsets you design with increasing features approaching infinity will translate into the increased appearance of an attempt to cover cooked books and give you an unlimited supply of annoyed customers and perturbed board mfgs.
