The Dual Monitor Experiment @ XYZ

We played around with dual monitor setups back before they was cool, while some of the technology has changed on the consumer side of things the concept is exactly the same.
"The honeymoon did not last for too long. Just like with any other purchase the novelty of the 17" LCD quickly wore off. Within a few weeks I was no longer impressed with the 1280x1024 resolution, even if it was drastically better than 1024x768. At this point I was in no way disappointed with the upgrade, but it was certainly no longer anything special."
