nVidia and Intel Sitting in a Tree.......

Here is some more news on the nVidia + Intel deal we reported last week (not directly reported but posted news about)

Nvidia to enter Pentium 4-compatible chipset market in 2005, Taiwan makers to focus on K8 platform
"Nvidia is expected to start delivering a core-logic chipset that supports Intel-based CPUs in 2005, and last week the company signed a multi-year, cross-license agreement with the chip giant, according to sources at Taiwan motherboard makers.

Nvidia’s entry into the Intel CPU market is, however, unlikely to have a major impact on Taiwan chipset makers since they will focus their efforts on producing chipsets for the Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) K8 platform, the sources noted."
While I'm really stoked about the news it would seem that the powers to be in Taiwan don't really care. at least yet
