X58 Motherboard Roundup Review @ OCC
Published: Tuesday, September 1, 2009 | By: WillAll of the recent Core i5 talk has overshadowed the Core i7 LGA1366 processors. Don't fear more X58 motherbaord reviews are here.
"The overclocked scores give us a better idea of how each board performs. In Apophysis, MSI's X58 Platinum takes first place by one. The top performer in WinRAR is another MSI board. In just about every benchmark the MSI Eclipse Plus outperforms the competition. For this round I'd say the MSI Eclipse takes the cake, hands down, for both the stock and overclocked scores let's move on to the next set of benchmarks."

NL: PC Game Reviews Roundup
Published: Monday, August 31, 2009 | By: WillHere is some new PC games to check out.
Trine (PC) Review @ Gamingheaven
"These days when discussing new PC games, the talking point is generally around a new cutting edge engine and how much better it looks when compared to the previous version. It seems quite often that the core element of gameplay is overlooked and today we are looking at a title from developer Frozenbyte which is a modern take on the classic 2D action adventure genre."
"From the developers of Mafia comes Mafia II, a look into the dark and unforgiving world of the Mob. Powered by a next-generation engine built specifically for Mafia II, players experience new depth and dimension to gunfights, hand-to-hand combat and vehicular exploration. Born the son of a poor immigrant, Vito is a beaten down Italian American who is trying to secure his piece of the American Dream. Looking to escape the life of poverty that consumed his childhood, Vito is soon swayed by the lure of power and wealth that a life of Organized Crime can bring. A petty criminal his whole life, Vito, along with his childhood friend, Joe, will descend into the world of Organized Crime. Together, they will work to prove themselves to the Mob as they try to make their names on the streets of a cold and unforgiving city. Take part in car-to-car gunfights, hand-to-hand combat and gunplay, forming an intense and exciting experience? See you in the following Gamescom-Preview from Technic3D."

ASUS MARS - QUAD SLI - Extreme gaming! @ DriverHeaven
Published: Friday, August 28, 2009 | By: WillIs there ever a time of to much power? Well Asus does not think so, and everyone that is a hardware enthusiast should never say such a thing either.
"Asus have just rewritten the Nvidia rulebook with the release of their 1 grand video card - the Asus MARS. Its basically two 285's on one board with 4GB of high performance ram. Asus sent us TWO of these limited edition boards and we put them in a watercooled system to see just how many frames they can deliver with all the modern gaming titles."
Time for the mad scientist laugh.

Apple's Worst Products and Biggest Failures @ Digital Trends
Published: Thursday, August 27, 2009 | By: WillWell here is something for the guys that love to laugh at the Mac failures of yesterday. In all of my days working with Macs. I think the biggest failure was them making a machine with a optical drive that wouldn't last over a week.
"The iPod. The iPhone. The iMac. The Macintosh. The LaserWriter. The Macbook. Mac OS X. The list goes on. Apple, the multinational corporation that began life in the mid-seventies in a garage trumpeting "Think Different" as its mantra, has concocted and released some of the most imaginative, groundbreaking, and iconic products of the digital age. It has continually set the tone for style and ease of use, and has harmonized the relationship between man and computer more efficiently than any other company on the planet."
iHate the whole "i" thing with a passion also.

Gigabyte Radeon HD 4770 512MB @ Techgage
Published: Thursday, August 27, 2009 | By: DennisDoes cheap = good?? Techgage seems to think so.
Have just $100 to splurge on a new graphics card? Is having low power consumption and low temperatures important to you? If so, the HD 4770 certainly deserves your attention. This budget card handled each one of our games at 1920x1080 just fine, overclocks like a dream and has power and temp numbers worth drooling over.
Sometimes the cheaper cards are the way to go, then again they could also be like mopeds, and we all know how that saying goes.

Core i7 Extreme Overclocking with LN2 @ HotHardware
Published: Thursday, August 27, 2009 | By: DennisEventually we would like to feature some extreme cooling action here at Ninjalane again but there is a certain amount of skill and patience required that frankly many of us do not have. Not to mention additional cost required to store and use LN2.
Intel's Extreme Edition processors are not for everybody. Economically, they just don't make much sense for mainstream users. These extravagant chips were designed for smaller segment of the market where the consumers who buy them tend to push their hardware a lot harder than most folks.
Extreme Edition is nice (just ask JimmyZ) but for the money I'd take a i7 920 any day.

Gamescom 2009 boothbabes report @ dvhardware
Published: Tuesday, August 25, 2009 | By: WillSince we at Ninjalane love our boothbabe moment as much as the next guy. Well we had to post this little tidbit of yumminess. Then I got to the second page, and noticed things had gone horribly wrong. The babes started becoming dudes.
DV Hardware has posted its first piece of coverage of Gamescom 2009, in this article we focus on the boothbabes and video game characters of Gamescom.
Okay, do not title anything as boothbabes if it is mainly going to be 1.5 pages of hot chicks and the rest of it custome characters and dudes.

Onboard Graphics Shootout AMD 790GX vs. 785G @ TweakTown
Published: Tuesday, August 25, 2009 | By: WillHere is an interesting read for all of the normal consumers that get talked into buying a system with intergrated graphics, but also want to game. This practice happens from retailers more often then they like to admit.
While most of us on Tweak Town are after the most performance and overclocking capable boards out there, it's important to note that there is still a very large side of the market that we don't always give a great deal of thought to, that being the integrated market.
Today as a follow up to the 785G chipset review, we are taking a look at the 785G's graphics performance compared the 790GX's. Since the 785G is DX10.1 compatible, will it have any performance increase over the 790GX? - Let's have a bit of a look see."I still wonder how they can sleep at night. You know who you are!
