Holiday PC Gaming Season
Published: Wednesday, November 19, 2008 | By: WillKeeping up with the theme for this PC gaming season. I wanted to add a new game to the growing list of new games fighting the up hill battle for your hard earned dollar. This time we are looking at another survival horror based game with co-op. Left 4 Dead is one sweeeet game. Check it out.
Left 4 Dead Review (PC) @ GamingHeaven
"Left 4 Dead is the newest team based game from Valve which puts you and some buddies into the role of a group of people battling against hordes of mutant zombies with a simple goal ... to stay alive and hopefully escape. Is this a modern-day Valve classic or just another run of the mill zombie romp?"
First Look: Left 4 Dead @ Gameconnect
"General impressions on the demo were overwhelmingly positive, and players the world over have been blowing the heads, arms, legs, projectile intestines, teeth, claws and other assorted bodyparts off the most intelligent zombies this side of nothing you've ever seen before. Now the game's out, and it's time to get to that cursed hospital."

New Ninjalane Server Switch Soon
Published: Sunday, November 16, 2008 | By: DennisIt's been a little over a year since the hardware that runs Ninjalane has been upgraded and its about time we really pull out the stops and put some muscle behind us.
The current platform is nothing really fancy, just a single 2.8Ghz Pentium but thru a special deal with my hosting company we'll be migrating to a Dual Xeon 2.8 with 10K RPM Scsi drives. Look for this switch to happen towards the later part of the month.
With any luck there should be only minimal downtime, if any.

Holiday PC Gaming Season
Published: Friday, November 14, 2008 | By: WillIt is time to look at a couple more games for the Holiday Season. This time we have a survival horror and an full on RTS. So this is a something for everyone kind of season. Let's get to checking them out.
"Very shortly into the game, Clarke becomes separated from his team, and under siege from a series of bizarre and deadly creatures that infest the station. Armed with a simple plasma cutter weapon, Clarke must not only survive the aliens that roam the station but he must complete several tasks such as restoring the ships tram service and unblocking vital areas of the ship.
As the story unfolds, Clarke is able to upgrade his arsenal through the collection and use of power nodes, and through collecting credits, is able to purchase new weapons such as military grade rifles and flamethrowers to fight off the Necromorphs."Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 (PC) Review @ GamingHeaven
"Red Alert was always a little wacky with the premise of time travel allowing various time continuum storylines to take centre stage. This time the Soviet Union are at the brink of defeat by the Allies and a trio of their leaders travel back in time to kill Einstein. Long term fans of the series will instantly recognise the homage to the original game when Einstein bent time to assassinate Hitler. Unfortunately when the soviets return they discover that altering events in time has rather serious repercussions."
See PC gaming is not dead it is just kinda gimped a little is all.

Your boneheaded tech moments @ TechReport
Published: Thursday, November 13, 2008 | By: WillWow this is a pretty funny read for all of us. You know everyone has done one of these great bonehead moments.
"Everyone has moments that they're not proud of, but it's important to acknowledge and learn from them instead of pretending they never happened. It can also be valuable-almost cathartic-to share those moments in order to gain perspective and warn others not to follow in your footsteps. And before I preach any longer, this isn't about the time I crashed dad's car (or that one CES in Las Vegas). No, this post is all about tech confessions."
Well to be honest. We here at NinjaLane never have such bonehead moments.

Holiday PC Gaming Season
Published: Wednesday, November 12, 2008 | By: WillIt is that time of the year again. This year looks to be a little harder on the wallet then last year with the tough times. Still this does not change the fact that the PC Gaming arena is fighting even harder for you hard earned dollar. So lets read a couple game reviews to see which one will get you money this Holiday Season.
Fallout-3 PC Review @ Gamepyre
"If the concept of blood and gore, intense violence, sexual themes, strong language and use of drugs appeals to you (in a video game of course), then Fallout 3 is a perfect title for you. It is bloody and gory indeed, the violence level certainly is intense, there are some sexual themes after all and the use of drugs is left entirely up to you; as a matter of fact if you start using that junk eventually you get hooked on it and that's not a good thing. Hey, what can I say, this game is pretty much perfect. It is entertaining, has great replay factor, sounds great and looks great; the only thing is the adult nature of the game. If that does not bother you then go do yourself a favor and get this game A.S.A.P."
Far Cry 2 - A Far Cry From The Original? @ OC3D
"In conjunction with the release of the XFX GTX260 Black Edition we get to sample Far Cry 2 and give you the lowdown if its a worthy successor to the original."
Well there is a couple to get your appetite started for this season. As more game reviews flow in the next few weeks. NinjaLane will be posting them in the news for you guys to check out.
