  • Thermaltake Bigwater 760i Liquid Cooling System Review @ ThinkComputers

Published: Thursday, June 5, 2008 | By: Will

I know many of the hardcore water cooling guys just hate these kinds of kits. Still I find people asking about these kind of water cooling setups all the time.

"Thermaltake has made water cooling easy with the Bigwater 760i 2U Drive Bay Liquid Cooling System. This system is internal and fits nicely into two empty drive bays in your case. This system has everything that you need to get started, even coolant and tubing. This is the first water cooling system that I have ever built and found it quite easy and fun to install. This system provides many nice features even the water cooling guru would find attractive. Read on further to find out what they are."

After reading this review the Thermaltake water cooler does not look to bad, or does it.

  • ASUS P5Q Pro @ InsideHW

Published: Wednesday, June 4, 2008 | By: Will

Asus never slows down, or gives an inch to anyone. They seems to have tons of R&D to bring out board after board. I'm always impressed by this.

"ASUS Company is well known for launching motherboards based on Intel chipsets that are among first few that appear on the market. Strong partnership between Intel and Asus become very obvious and as a result of good collaboration between them, ASUS made Asus P5Q Pro motherboard based on new Intel's logic controller under the name of P45. Before any further information about this motherboard, we'll first make a glance at new chipset and its possibilities..."

I still like Asus naming schemes for there motherboards. Simple and easy to follow.

  • Diamond Viper HD 3870 1GB Video Card Reviewed @ TheTechLounge

Published: Wednesday, June 4, 2008 | By: Will

Since I gave Nvidia a spot on the front page with it's soon to be EOL card. Well, I guess it would be only fare to do the same for ATI.

"Under the heatsink is a whole lot of GDDR3, which in itself doesn't mean much--you can find a pile of budget cards with a gig of RAM, the extra memory incapable of boosting their meager performance--but the 3870 is plainly able to fill its frame buffer. If it were truly a budget card, it would come off as sheer marketing; with a high-end card like this, it really does make a difference. The last great ATI card was the HD 2900 XT, a spectacular misfire. But despite it's ridiculous power consumption, sub-par video processing, and tremendous heat with the blower to match, it still beat out the 512MB HD 3870. I hoped that this redesigned 3870 would have what it takes to finally put out the year-old performance despot. And it does, in almost every way."

I still think using 1Gig of ram is just to much.

  • XFX GeForce 9800GX2 Black Edition Review @ Motherboards

Published: Wednesday, June 4, 2008 | By: Will

As Computex runs on, and we get to see more sneak peaks at the new video cards. Here is a review for a very new card that is just kick ass on performance.

"XFX has done a wonderful job with the 9800GX2 Black Edition as it is the fastest available 9800GX2 on the market today at a clock speed of 700MHz for the core. The card plays every game on the market including Crysis in high settings and with anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering fully enabled. The card is available online for a price of $599.99 from ZipZoomFly this card is not cheap, but it is ultra fast."

To bad the EOL is coming soon for such a new comer to the market.

  • Cooler Master CSX Gargoyle @ Phoronix

Published: Wednesday, June 4, 2008 | By: Will

I'm a sucker for awesome looking cases. This case from Cooler Master is just an amazing job for paint. I would never be crazy enough pay such a high price for a cool case.

"Earlier this year we had looked at the Cooler Master Cosmos S, which was a very nice EATX chassis and had taken the Cosmos 1000 to the next level. While we were not most fond of the Cosmos S aesthetics, the Cooler Master case we are looking at today is unlike any other we have ever reviewed. The case we are looking at is the CSX Limited Edition
    Gargoyle."

Still I will have to admit if I was wealthy this case would be in my collection.

  • GFXChilla by Coolink @ Modders-Inc

Published: Tuesday, June 3, 2008 | By: Will

Wow these new GPU coolers are starting to look very similar. Maybe it's just me. Let's see if the GFXChilla is a good pet, or a bad pet for your Graphics card.

"The GFXChilla is a new cooling solution for your graphics card that uses two fans and a series of heat pipes. It easily dropped the temperatures of the video card and installing the card is a simple process."

Looks to be a good pet. Not one accident on the carpet. I think it's a keeper.
