DFI Infinity nF4 Ultra Motherboard Review Posted
Published: Tuesday, October 18, 2005 | By: DennisWhen DFI launched the LanParty line of motherboards they targeted at a very narrow though highly vocal sector of the hardware market with one purpose in mind. To get DFI known in the enthusiast community. The marketing and products were solid and as a result DFI and the LanParty series are household names.

RaidMax Ninja 918 @ Bigbruin
Published: Monday, October 17, 2005 | By: DennisThe natural progression for pre-mods is to first play around with windows and custom front panels, then of course to charge an extra 20 bux to make it seem cool. Then you move to doing something extreme like the Raidmax Samurai. So after that what comes next??
Yep you guessed it, change the style slightly and slap in a window. -
Bytecc LANDISK NAS Hard Drive Enclosure @ A True Review
Published: Monday, October 17, 2005 | By: DennisWe had an opportunity to check out this little number ourselves and found it to be a pretty slick little machine.
"One device that makes data even easier to share on a network is an external NAS hard drive. Just as a router allows you to share a single Internet connection without the need for any particular computer to be on, a NAS (which stand for Network Attached Storage) hard drive allows you to share a drive full of data without needing any particular computer to be on. As the availability and popularity of NAS drives continue to rise, NAS enclosures are becoming more available as well. A NAS enclosure allows you to turn any hard drive, old or new, into an external NAS drive. One example is the LANDISK enclosure from Bytecc, which is the subject of this review."
Here is ours for comparison purposes. -

Vantec Stingray Water Cooling Kit @ Hi-Techreviews
Published: Monday, October 17, 2005 | By: DennisThe tubing in this Vantec kit might be too small for high-end watercooling but it should well for any entry level system.
"We have installed the coolant and added some distilled water, as you can tell by the pictures this is a very early stage of it being turned on as the lines still have millions of little air bubbles in it and the reservoir even has a slight head of foam on it. That will all disappear once the system has had time to circulate for an hour or so."
Man check out all dem tubes. -

DFI rides high on strong ACP sales
Published: Wednesday, October 12, 2005 | By: Dennis"With customers in the US, Japan and Australia, contribution from the gaming-use segment will climb to 25-30% of DFI’s ACP motherboard sales in 2006, up from 9% at present, Lu stated.
The Chinese-language Commercial Times indicated that DFI’s major customers for ACP motherboards are IBM, International Game Technology, Motorola, NCR, and Toshiba.
In addition, DFI expects sales of its high-end LANParty and Infinity motherboard series to grow 50% on year next year, according to Lu. The company has offered its first motherboard that follows the EU's Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) legislation, the 945G-TMGF for the Intel Pentium 4 platform." -
ASUS Extreme N7800 GT Dual @ Hexus
Published: Tuesday, October 11, 2005 | By: DennisMonster card indeed! I almost want one
"A big bugger I think you'll agree, and one that won't readily fit in a range of ATX chassis models. The power connector, loose on shipping, needs to be bent round and fed into the regular 6-pin power connector so that the feed from the supplied external power supply can make it into the board." -
Centon Advanced A2X1GS3200LLE PC3200 2GB Dual Channel Kit @ InsaneTek
Published: Tuesday, October 11, 2005 | By: DennisNow here is some pretty sweet looking RAM modules, I think the only thing that might be better is a Red PCB and vented copper heat spreader, ohh and maybe some red LEDs shining thru the vents.
"Centon's new packaging comes with a clam shell with a catchy design for their insert. The revamped DDR Advanced line comes with copper heatspreaders in a glossy white finish. I have been waiting a long time to see some white heatspreaders. It looks just like Apple! The black PCB is the infamous Brainpower 808. Such a combination is so sexy, isn't it?"
I'm sure our resident Mac expert Talon will like to get a par of these for his Mac.
