New AMD Turion 64 OPN and ID Tables
Published: Monday, September 5, 2005 | By: Dennis"AMD Turion 64 notebooks are gaining momentum thanks to strong performances, 64-bit capability, low consumption and lower price tag than anything Intel has to offer. After Opteron, Sempron and Athlon 64, AMDboard is releasing today a new version of its highly popular (Order Product Number) OPN & ID page for this new laptop chip. It offers all the necessary data to understand what is behind the cryptic identification code like watt, maximum temperature, frequency and more…

Overclocking the Athlon X2 3800+ @ Legit Reviews
Published: Saturday, September 3, 2005 | By: DennisIt would seem that overclocking the dual core Athlon64's is very similar to previous versions but with a lot more headroom, I can't wait to get my hands on one.
"Looking around different forums I've noticed most people hitting 2.6 to 2.7GHZ with good cooling, and a few hitting 2.8 to 2.95GHz on extreme cooling. While I can't vouch for anyone else’s stability or results I will say the 3800+ I have been torturing for a week now is one of the best processors I've ever had." -

The offline project is still progressing nicely and with any luck will be launched with bare bones functionality hopefully by the second week of September.
Stay tuned. -

NL: Review Block - Down but not out
Published: Sunday, August 14, 2005 | By: DennisSorry about the late news postings however things are still progressing nicely, Lets see in the past two weeks I got older, spent 40 bux on gas, and managed to lose a potential client all because I didn't have time to call. Sux being busy, yet the funny part is that I'm not really getting much done.

BlueGears HDA Digital X-Mystique 7.1 Gold Sound Card @ A True Review
Published: Saturday, July 30, 2005 | By: DennisFor those of you like me that hate to use onboard sound but are also upset with the current Sound Blaster options might find the specialized cards like the one from BlueGear to be just what you are looking for.
"The last physical design of the X-Mystique 7.1 Gold that is worth mentioning is its onboard IC amp chips are upgradeable/replaceable. Instead of being soldiered to the board, the 6 onboard IC amp chips are simply plugged into the board via DIP sockets. Of course for most users, this does not mean anything. Upgrading these dual DIP type OPAMP controller preamp circuits should be reserved for audiophiles and/or those with engineering knowledge."
Upgradeable sound cards, you can't get much better than that.
