Soltek 8KAN2E-GR nForce3 Review @ Hexus
Published: Wednesday, December 15, 2004 | By: Dennis"Soltek's has at least 5 distinct motherboards for S754, split between VIA and NVIDIA chipsets. Today I'm taking a look at an nForce3 250Gb-based Soltek board that combines a decent feature set with a low street price. Without further ado, then, time to get jiggy with Soltek's SL-K8AN2E-GR. The name's not going to win any prizes, but the 'board just might."
We reviewed this very motherboard a while ago and found it to be very stable though due to some bug with using SATA HDDs on the nVidia nF3 we were unable to get any decent overclocking results. -
Arctic Cooling Freezer 4 & Freezer 7 Review @ PCmoddingmy
Published: Wednesday, December 15, 2004 | By: DennisNow here are a couple of really funky heatsinks that are far from being "freezers" but appear to perform quite well.
"Again, the performance is very impressive. The Freezer 7 easily tamed our boiling Prescott down to a 31º C on Idle and maintaining at 46º C at full load. With our ambient temperatures recorded at 28º C, it was almost impossible to keep our Prescott anywhere below 50º C at those speeds. Looks like we have a winner here!" -
Gigabyte P4 Titan Series 8TRX330-L @ Techware Labs
Published: Tuesday, December 14, 2004 | By: DennisHere is something from the not so distant, its almost the present, past.
"Overall, 8TRX330-L is a great performance board. The BIOS features provides your average user the simple one option to overclock without guess work allow the user that ability to get just a little more out of their machine then having to stick with the defaults."
What the review doesn't tell you is that behind the cryptic wording and sporadic paragraphs you will find an ATI enabled motherboard from Gigabyte that supports the 478pin Intel processor. -

Asustek starts delivering Nvidia nForce 4 SLI motherboards
Published: Tuesday, December 7, 2004 | By: DennisSLI is almost here!, I can't wait.
"Asustek Computer has started delivering Nvidia nForce 4 SLI-based motherboards to the channel, according to the company and sources in the channel. These motherboards support Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) Socket 939 Athlon 64 FX and Athlon 64 processors.
Small volumes of Asustek’s A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard arrived in stores last week and were sold immediately, Asustek said. The company added that it will gradually increase its shipments later this month, while shipments to other markets will start this week."
The only sad part is that they sell for about $216US each. -

Gainward 2400 Ultra GLH @ 3D Professor
Published: Tuesday, December 7, 2004 | By: DennisIt is too bad that Gainward doesn't support Ninjalane with review samples, especially since we pimp their stuff on a regular basis.
(yes its the red PCBs that does it)
This is also no normal 6800 since it comes with "1200MHz high speed 1.6NS DDR3", go Gainward! -
Gigabyte GA-8GPNXP Duo @ Envy News
Published: Tuesday, December 7, 2004 | By: DennisI always get a kick out of marketing jargon like this.
"The GA-8GPNXP is a proud member of Gigabyte's new 8 SIGMA lineup. The 8 SIGMA series is Gigabyte's flagship motherboard implementations which are comprised of what is labeled as a "Fusion of Top Innovations"."
I almost get choked up thinking about it.
I'm not razzing on purpose but poking fun because most of the features in their "8 SIGMA series" actually come with chipset meaning that you get them with every i915P enabled motherboard. Be sure to check out the "U-Plus DPS system" slot thing, this allows you to add another 4 phases to the onboard power supply.
