Freedom Fries??
Published: Wednesday, March 26, 2003 | By: DennisCall me slow or just one not to notice but I just found this blurb the other day that has roots all the way back to WWI.
"Henceforth, french fries and French toast will no longer be served in the cafeterias of the House of Representatives' three office buildings. Instead, the cafeterias will offer "freedom fries" and "freedom toast.""
I also find this very funny and so very true.
"If chauvinistic warmongers want to start renaming stuff, it should be Iraqi stuff. There's probably not much point in going after Iraqi food such as masgoof (barbecued fish) and pacha (sort of an Iraqi haggis) because Americans don't eat them. A better idea would be to tear out every page in the Bible that features an Iraqi place name, such as Babylon, Babel, the Garden of Eden, Nineveh, and Ur. The Christian right will object, but we all have to make sacrifices during wartime." -

Crazy PC's Panel Wrap Review @ Furioustech
Published: Wednesday, March 26, 2003 | By: DennisOne of the last components of any real case mod is a nice coat of paint. Some go the extra mile and even apply some pretty airbrushed graphics but if you are one of the many that do not have the necessary skillz or equipment to apply your own airbrushed graphics why not apply a graphical sticker instead. This is where this panel wrap idea comes into play, paint peel and stick.

Albatron PX845PEV Review @ Techware Labs
Published: Wednesday, March 26, 2003 | By: DennisWith the lack of Intel Dual Channel DDR motherboard solutions we are left with only one other option, the i845PE. Techware Labs has posted a review of Albatron's PE offering and aside from the floppy connector placement it looks to be pretty solid.
"Like usual, Albatron motherboards were made for overclocking, and this board isn't an exception. It has very good overclocking features that will let you overclock to the max. And albatron has made overclocking easy for all the beginners in the DIY market out there. It teaches you how to overclock in the manual!" -
Epox EP-8RDA+ Motherboard Review Posted
Published: Wednesday, March 26, 2003 | By: DennisAfter much delay we have finally posted our review of the Epox EP-8RDA+ nForce2 motherboard. Considering that so many other sites have already done reviews of this board we mixed it up a bit by comparing it to one of our favorite boards, the Soltek SL-75FRN-L.

Hynix Braces for Tariff
Published: Tuesday, March 25, 2003 | By: Dennis" Hynix Semiconductor Inc. is taking steps to cope with a 35% duty that may soon be imposed against the chipmaker for allegedly illegal subsidies from the Korean government, an official told EBN Monday.
Faqrhad Tabrizi, vice president of worldwide memory marketing at Hynix, said the European Commission (EC) had notified member countries that it will make its preliminary decision public at the end of April. He confirmed early reports that the EC administrative body indicated that ruling would levy 35% penalty duties on Hynix DRAMs. "

ATI Radeon 9800 256MB
Published: Tuesday, March 25, 2003 | By: Dennis256Megs is a good thing right?
The only drawback will be the overall cost of the card and shown by this pre-order listing at Computer HQ.
"The Radeon 9800 magazine review goes on to claim that "While we're sure that DOOM III will run on cards with a 128 MB frame buffer, we also bet that the game (as well as game's based on Carmack's engine) will be able to take advantage of 256 MB." -
DDR Ram Guide II
Published: Tuesday, March 25, 2003 | By: DennisBring your frames compliant browser and check out the DDR Ram Guide at Overclockers New Zealand. There is some really good info in the review and a very patient reviewer.
" The PC-3500 Ultra uses hand picked 4.5ns ram chips, with an allowable voltage range of 2.6V to 3.0V. As far as I can tell, most manufacturers require people to up the V/DDR to 2.6V or 2.7V for high speed DDR modules."
Sounds like overclocking to me.
