    Well the Antec Mod project is about halfway there with the ritual painting of the case marking a major milestone for this weekend. Normally I wouldn't say anything but this time we're not using the tried and true "bomb can" tekniq. big grin smile I'll have more on that subject later.

    Sounds kinky but really its just 4 cards and some benchmarks. I am actually quite surprised as to how bad the Gainward card does when compared to the other cards in the test.

  • Licensing Dispute Over 533MHz FSB?

    I pose this as a question because we have already seen a few instances of regular Pentium 4 chips running overclocked at 533MHz FSB, so what is to stop SiS, VIA, and others from licensing the 400MHz FSB from Intel, then giving consumers the ability to run 533MHz FSB chips on those chipsets in using an "overclocked" FSB setting??.

    Hometown hero Micron appears to be the first to supply JEDEC-compliant DDR333 memory. I think we can expect silent compliancy upgrades from other DDR333 memory manufactures in the coming weeks.

    This is kind of cool; the all time favorite for case cooling will make a debut in the Xbox. According to the article on April 10th Sunon signed an 18-month deal to supply heat fans for the new game console, orders will be finalized on the following week.

  • Russell Announces Retirement

    This is about as far from tech news as you can get but being a motorcycle enthusiast I figured what the heck. Scott Russell announced his retirement saying that he is going to take it easy. Russell was an AMA and World Superbike champion and even earned the nickname of Mr. Daytona after winning the race 5 times.

    x-bit labs has some interesting SiS chipset info posted including chipset support for DDR400 which we told you earlier may or may not be approved by the JEDEC. Intel also stated that they decided not to go with DDR400 saying that DDR2 is a more attractive option.
