AMD is using a similar heat spreader on the "Hammers" to help dissipate heat and reduce the chance of cracked cores. They also have quite a few more pins, 754 on the ClawHammer and 940 pins on the SledgeHammer.

The Pentium 4 was released, performance increased, the price came down slightly but DDR was still better in some regards. Now that I think about it there was really no significant technology increased in the Rambus platform since its release back in the early P3 days, what a way to stay on top of things.

Denied A Computer By Dell
Published: Thursday, February 28, 2002 | By: DennisThe owner of Weigand Combat Handguns Inc. went online and ordered a new Dell laptop. A few days later he received an email from Dell saying the order was canceled without a reason given. "They told me they were afraid I would use the computer for illegal purposes. Somehow I was singled out". In a way this sux but I also commend Dell on paying attention to who orders their products.
