  • Deus Ex on the Dreamcast

Published: Tuesday, December 5, 2000 | By: Dennis

It looks as though Deus Ex might be ported to the Dreamcast in the near future. But that is not the only game. First Quake 3 Arena, Next Deus Ex and Unreal Tournament. Here is a snip.
In an interview by Joystick, a French PC gaming magazine, the lead programmer for Deus Ex said "Concerning the PC to consoles port of Deus Ex, I'm not in charge of the port but I oversee the project." So, it looks like Deus Ex will be coming to next generation consoles! Might it come to Dreamcast? Quite possibly, especially since fellow Unreal engine game Unreal Tournament is already well underway. We'll keep you up to date with the latest happenings on this possible story"

    Could be fun,

  • Speed up Maxtor Drives

Published: Sunday, December 3, 2000 | By: Dennis

It would seem by this tech post at Maxtor that most of their IDE drives are released and configured to run very quiet. Bad thing is when they run quiet they also run slow. I'm in the process of converting my drives to the non-quiet setting; I'll let you know how it pans out.

  • Dual CPU with DDR support

Published: Thursday, November 30, 2000 | By: Dennis

It was bound to happen I just didn't think so soon. Take a look at the board and look at how it is laid out. The power connector is below the processors, and the floppy drive connector is under the last PCI slot. Not really the most effected layout.

Considering that this board is a socket 370 I find it hard to believe.

  • P4's choke on VooDoo 5

Here is a bit of news for 3DFX fans. Seems the new P4s are not compatible with the V5 or V3 but are compatible with the V4. Kooky.

  • Freeway Review - another on the way

Published: Wednesday, November 29, 2000 | By: Dennis

It seems that the Freeway Designs motherboard review has become quite an attraction here at Ninjalane. Glad to be a part of it.
I've been told by one of my close friends that he will be getting his hands on the new Epox EP-D3VA dullie motherboard sometime this week. So, that means you can expect a similar review of that motherboard sometime in the coming week and maybe a compairson between The Freeway Designs FWD-P3C4XD and the Epox later this next month.

  • Site update

Published: Wednesday, November 29, 2000 | By: Dennis

I noticed a small bug in how my URL's where being processed, it seemed that when I posted a link within my site it was still spawning another browser window. This has been fixed and shouldn't happen in the future. Sorry to all that this "bug" annoyed.

  • Freeway Designs FWD-P3C4XD Review Posted

Published: Monday, November 27, 2000 | By: Dennis

As I told you before the holiday Ninjalane.com has broken new ground in the realm of hardware reviews. The first piece to be added to the list is the sexy red motherboard by Freeway Designs.

  • Orbs a plenty

Published: Monday, November 27, 2000 | By: Dennis

I caught a glimpse of this over at the Freeway Designs website the other day. It would seem that they have designed a "orb" that is approvd to 1.3GHz. It looks alot like the Golden Orb in some regards except that this cooler is made of copper unlike the "Glorb".

  • Dual P3 800 Faster than the P4 or Athlon

Published: Sunday, November 26, 2000 | By: Dennis

Originally I saw this at HardOCP and figured that under the circumstances I should post it here. As most of us know any computer with multiple processors will score higher than a computer with just one processor if given the proper environment to work in. (i.e. Win2k, Linux) Even then you still need to be running programs that support the SMP instruction set.

I've always like a good first-person shooter game and from what GameSpy says this one will bring back some memories.
