After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    Case layout and Features Cont.

As was mentioned before the Armor A60 features a "SlideClick EasySwap" system. (Hot Swap for short)  This system allows you to hot-swap any 3.5" SATA hard drive into your system without having to remove the side panel or physically hook it up to the motherboard.  We have seen these before, however this is the first one to incorporate the feature into the existing internal drive bays and allow the drive to pass thru the side panel.
One interesting feature is the inclusion of a true eSATA connector at the front of the case.  The cable for this chases thru the entire chassis and exists out the back.
The front panel is easily removable by pulling up and out from the bottom.  This allows you access to clean the mesh filter, install external drives and access the front mounted intake fan.  Many front bezel designs are made from molded plastic and colored to match.  The grill material here is actually comprised of inlaid steel mesh to provide both style and strength.
Behind the front panel you'll find the normal assortment of drive bay covers and exposed front panel connectors.  You will find 2 fan positions at the front of the A60 with good spacing for a dual fan radiator.  Adding this radiator could be difficult depending on how many HDD trays you are willing to part with.
