After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    Introduction

Often when a new product is launched, there's considerable lag between announcement and when products appear on shelves. This trend is common with all types of gear from motherboards to processors.  So when we have a product available on launch day from, all vendors, it is reason to celebrate.

In this review we will be looking at the Gigabyte GV-N450-1GI GTS 450 video card.  Typical of Gigabyte they have taken some liberty with the standard reference design to better match their product lineups, and help differentiate their products from the competition.

We recently reviewed a standard nVidia reference design GTS 450 and found the card to perform great against the competition.  Can the Gigabyte offering give us anything more over the reference design? Or will this be a story of same chipset, same performance?

    Let's find out.
