The Matrix: Revolutions - Back from the show
Much like everyone else I know the GF and I broke down and went to see the latest Matrix movie, Revolutions. We decided to go on a Friday night around 7:30 and even went early thinking that the theater would be packed.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
What truth do you ask? how about a maximum of 30+ people in the theater truth. That even includes the 5 very annoying kids that whispered through the entire show.
The film was a nice piece of eye candy though lacked many story elements that I think would have better explained what was going on. The ending of the movie tried to cover-up any good ending that the movie could have had. I think is why everyone I spoke to needed to think about it for a while.
-- Spoiler Below --
For me understanding the movie was pretty simple. Neo ended up doing what he was supposed to do, just prolonged it by making the "choice" that he thought was right.
- Trinity dies for like 15min, touching but kinda lame.
- Zion was spared from total destruction.
- The Architect is going to allow some of the people to leave.
- The oracle has prophesized the return of 'The One'.
Basically, the machines won the war and everything starts over again.
-- End Spoiler --
I would not be surprised if "Revolutions" is not out on DVD by January.
(your opinion may vary. )
