"Despite the fact that tweaking Quake 4 is extremely similar to tweaking Doom 3, and after some delays, I decided that given the large fan base for the game, it deserved a tweak guide of its own. Walton Chaintech launches SLI-ready GeForce 6800 GS

"Walton Chaintech launched the SE68GS, a SLI-ready graphics card utilizing the Nvidia GeForce 6800 GS graphics processing unit (GPU), worldwide on November 18, with a suggested retail price of US$249.
The Chaintech SE68GS features advanced gaming technologies – Shader Model 3.0, high-dynamic range (HDR) lighting and Nvidia Scalable Link Interface (SLI) multi-GPU technology, according to the company, adding that the SE68GS has 256MB DDR3 SDRAM plus the 6800 GS GPU’s native 256-bit memory interface. In addition, the new SLI-ready card delivers 1000MHz in memory clock, noted the company." -

Foxconn 975X-based motherboard to be available in December
Published: Thursday, November 17, 2005 | By: Dennis"Foxconn Electronics (the registered trade name of Hon Hai Precision Industry) recently introduced its 975X7AA-8EKRS2 motherboard, which is based on the Intel 975X chipset. The chipset recently appeared at the Intel website without a formal launch. According to Foxconn, the motherboard supports dual-graphics technologies, such as ATI’s CrossFire (Nvidia’s SLI is not mentioned), and features a rear external SATA II connector. The product will be available in December, the company said."
It would seem that Intel is doing a "me too", And I can't wait to test one out. -

"Packaging for this board was pretty stylish, the box has a semi transparent plastic sleeve with a window cut out that displays a chrome Foxconn badge, once you remove the sleeve the back of the box provides more info about the board."

Gainward 7800 GT Golden Sample @ PureOverclock

"As the Gainward 7800 GT Golden Sample is factory overclocked to 450/1050 I wasn’t expecting it to go much further. I managed a stable 473/1200 which brought the shader and ROP clocks up to 486 MHz. This gave it a speed boost that the Inno3D 7800 GT could not hope to match with its shader and ROP clocks stuck at 459 MHz."
The thing I want to know is if the company that bought Gainward will ever bring the red PCBs back. -
XFX Revo64 Serial ATA RAID card @ Tech Report

"The market may be brimming with multi-drive goodness, but that doesn't mean that there isn't room for something new. You see, most affordable RAID solutions, be they add-in cards or motherboard implementations, are software-based solutions and lack dedicated onboard memory. Most stick to supporting a mix of RAID levels 0, 1, 10/0+1, and 5, as well. We haven't seen much in the way of RAID 3 or hardware acceleration, and that's where XFX's new Revo64 comes in."
Maybe XFX will be nice and send us one for review as well? -
Case Window How-to Guide @ Pro-Clockers
Published: Tuesday, November 15, 2005 | By: DennisHere is a quick guide for installing a window kit. Tool choices aside they did a pretty good job on this guide. I may be a little biased but I feel that the Ninjalane method for installing windows is 100% better.
