MSI K8N Neo Platinum nF3 250Gb @ Viper Lair
Published: Tuesday, June 1, 2004 | By: DennisViper Lair takes a look at MSI's newest motherboard based on nForce3 chipset from nVidia. Check this review out if you're looking for a Socket 754 board.
"If you've been holding out on the Athlon 64, particularly the more consumer based Socket 754 version, the K8N Neo Platinum is as good a reason as any to jump on board now. With the great performance, stability and system level firewall, you won't be disappointed with it." -

Hello From Taipei
Published: Friday, May 28, 2004 | By: DennisHello everyone just wanted to pop in and say that the new bride and me made it to Taipei all safe and sound. The plane ride was hella long but “deluxe” class kicks ass!! so the ride over wasn't that bad..
The plan was to show up a few days early and take in some sights and then spend the rest of the time at Computex. Some may not thing this is the best way to spend a honeymoon but she seems pretty excited so I figured what the heck. -

ATI RADEON X800 XT vs. NVIDIA GeForce 6800 @ Digit-Life
Published: Friday, May 28, 2004 | By: DennisHere is some more on the battle of the titans - ATI's X800 XT and nVidia's Geforce 6800. Digit-Life also takes a look at the newest nVidia drivers and how they improve or decline both the speed and the picture quality in games, as well as benchmarks through their extensive list of testing.
"Older tests proved that all new accelerators depended greatly on the CPU and system performance in general and were limited by them even at maximal AA and anisotropy loads. So the moral is: even if there are people who are ready to pay a lot for a superaccelerator so that they can play their favourite old games, they will have to update their whole systems; otherwise, their acquisition will be of little use." -
Albatron FX5700P Turbo Review @ Viperlair
Published: Friday, May 28, 2004 | By: DennisAnother Albatron FX5700P review this time from the people at Viperlair. It seems that this card delivers the needed performance in today's game with a price of around hundred bux. Seems like a good deal to me.
"This card is what we would classify as an entry model (and given NVIDIA's current product structure, this seems to be their idea also), and compared to both last year's entry and mid-range offerings, the FX5200 and FX5600 respectively, the Albatron FX5700P Turbo will run circles around them." -
MSI K8N Neo Platinum Edition nF3 250Gb Review @ Hexus
Published: Friday, May 28, 2004 | By: DennisSeems like nForce3 boards are slowly squeezing into today's market with more manufacturers releasing their own versions. I think I liked their red PCB motherboards better though
.
"We just need a revised BIOS that allows the enthusiast really push the board to the limit. The AGP/PCI lock is in place but it's of questionable value when multiplier support is broken. As it stands, it's a damn fast board at or near-default speeds." -
Powercolor X800 Pro Review @ HardwareHell
Published: Thursday, May 27, 2004 | By: DennisHardwareHell reviews the new Powercolor video card, with it's latest and greatest chipset from ATI. One of the more interesting sections of this review, is how this video card overclocks when watercooled. Read up.
"A new generation of video cards is upon us and it’s as exciting as ever. Both Nvidia and ATI are releasing a slew of new products aimed at improving our gaming experience. The first card we are looking at is the Powercolor X800 Pro - for the gamer who wants top performance but without creating a very large hole in his wallet (look to the XT model for that)."
