Albatron GeForceFX 5700P Turbo Videocard Review @ PCStats
Published: Thursday, May 27, 2004 | By: DennisAlbatron is famous for their impressive cooling systems on their highly overclockable video cards. Sure, the FX6800 Ultra is already out, but if you don't have the extra $500 lying around, you might want to take a look at this card.
"In this review, PCStats is taking the Albatron GeForceFX 5700P Turbo videocard for a spin around the block. We'll be looking to see if this blue 8X AGP card lives up to expectations. Will the FX5700P Turbo blast out pixels and jaw-droping FPS, or just putter along like an old Amiga? Feel free to jump ahead to the benchmarks, or sit back and relax as we take you though the features of this $150USD FX5700-based card." -
Abit KV8-MAX3 K8T800 Athlon64 Motherboard Review @ Tweaknews
Published: Thursday, May 27, 2004 | By: DennisAbit IC7-MAX3 was one hell of a motherboard for the P4 systems with it's huge overclocking potential and inovative mosfet cooling system. Interested if KV8-MAX3 can match up to it? Check out this review.
"The ABIT KV8-MAX3 is indeed a hell of a board, and it did perform very well during testing. The OTES system has proven itself to be a very good cooling solution for overclockers, and the µGuru provides a user-friendly interface to monitor and administer your system. From the 6 SATA ports to the 4x RAID support, this board is built to grow with your 64bit system." -

Gigabyte GA-8KNXP Ultra-64 Review @ Hardwarezoom
Published: Thursday, May 27, 2004 | By: Dennis"GA-8KNXP Ultra-64 is designed to be the full function server-oriented solution with 800MHz FSB, AGP 8x, Dual Channel DDR 400 (with ECC support), and Performance Acceleration Technology (PAT) which will provides excellent performance."
Sadly the Ultra-64 isn't related to 64bit cpus. Based on what this board comes with it is indeed geared towards the server environment but I suppose if you feel like playing games on it there is nothing stopping you, cept maybe that single stick of Value RAM. -
No Gainward 6800 retail until after Computex?
Published: Tuesday, May 25, 2004 | By: Dennis"With rumours abound of a new NVIDIA product announcement at Computex and whispers of a faster basic clock speed for all 6800 Ultra boards being the reason for its late entry at retail, it's no surprise to hear from Gainward that they won't ship any boards to retail until after Computex."
Hexus appears to be starting a little rumor mill of their own. Though it would seem that there is some basic truth to the whole story. I mean, you can't actually buy a 6800 yet so something has to be up. -

Dually AMD Stuffs
Published: Monday, May 24, 2004 | By: DennisFirst the swanky new dual Opteron SFF case from iWill. We don't normally hear the name iWill and usable in the same sentence but there is a first time for everything.
"We were prepared to see a lot of amazing stuff AMD and partners but today we must say that we were totally caught by surprise with the latest barebone from IWILL."
Amdboard has the scoop
Next we have dual core rumors at Datafuse.
"We have picked up some rumours towards dual core AMD Cpu's.
It seems it's possible these cpu's will be among us sooner than we think."
They always say that. More info here
Computex is coming up and though I won't repeat verbatim what I witness you can be assured of some nice pics. -
Proper Bondo Use Guide @ Creativemods
Published: Monday, May 24, 2004 | By: DennisI've used quite a bit of Bondo in my mods to smooth over dents or to fill small holes. Check out the Recycled Case Mod Project and the Shuriken - SX635 AntecMod - Total Conversion for more information.
I will admit most of my Bondo "trial and error" time was spent on cars and motorcycles so when it came to case modding I had a pretty good idea as to what needed to happen. However for the n00b this article may help a little.
" "Paint stripping can be as exciting as real stripping"
A paint stripping wheel can be bought at any home improvement store or where you got your Bondo. They cost about $7 and will pay for themselves many times over."
He talks about his EX a lot in this article; maybe he has some really deep seated issues that need professional help. -
