I don't post case mods very often but every once in awhile something comes along that just needs a mention.
"Well I had a little bit different plans of mounting this window than it would appear, and what is most common among modders. I taped around the edge of the window again, and measured out 4 holes (evenly spaced) along the top and bottom, and 3 holes (evenly spaced) along the sides. I then took my plexi window and mounted it on the back of the panel with double sided sticky tape. After the plexi was mounted, I drilled holes where I had previously marked, so it would go through both the panel and the window. "
This sounds more like a OEM/Pre-modded solution than a common modders solution. I think you will understand once you see the completed window. I will say that they did a nice job with the detailing.

  • Sunbeam Tech's 4" Cold Cathode Review @ VoidedWarranty

Published: Monday, July 7, 2003 | By: Dennis

"I couldn't find any flaws in this product. In fact, it is the best thought out kit i've seen so far. From the dual inverter to the extra long power splitter, this 4" cold cathode kit is quite nice. I have seen allot of cathode kits from different companies and this one is by far the best."
I think a few warranties were voided in this review but they look good doing it.

  • Pentium 2.4C Overclocking @ Extreme Overclocking

Published: Monday, July 7, 2003 | By: Dennis

Given the name of this website anything short of extreme would be uncivilized tongue smile. Grab your gloves they put this 2.4C baby under dryice.
"4GHz with a 2.4C is amazing. This is a 1.6GHz overclock and puts the FSB at 334! This is an incredible speed and it was running fine. We tried to run some benchmarks but the AGP/PCI issues got us one more time. Because of the extreme FSB, we lost a hard drive because the PCI bus was out of specification."
Yep that’s extreme. big grin smile.

  • Kingston HyperX PC3200 Review @ Furioustech

With dual channel memory controllers hitting retail shelves it is pretty important that you have some good memory to go with it. Personally I like the Corsair brand but others abound like Muskin, Geil and Kingston. Furioustech has a short review up on the HyperX PC3200 memory. This memory has the same timings as the Corsair TwinX that we recently reviewed and features a fancy blue heatspreader.

  • Pentium 4 3.0C 800FSB Processor Review @ Tweaknews

When I was ramping up to do the Abit IS7 Review there was only a single option in the 800Mhz FSB world and it wasn't cheap. The sad part is that shortly after I dropped 500 bones on a 3.0Ghz the cheaper 2.4-2.8Ghz models came out.

The moral of the story, I paid too much and donations are nice. big grin smile hint hint

Honestly I haven't really used flash since the days of Ninjalane v1.0 but I can say the program is really cool and the movies are only limited by your imagination.

  • Crucial PC3200 DDR400Mhz Review @ MonkeyReview

Published: Thursday, July 3, 2003 | By: Dennis

Here is a short review of some PC3200 memory from Crucial. I should mention that these are CAS3 modules meaning that they probably aren't the best choice for use in that high end gaming system you are planning to build but seem to work great in just about everything else.
"Once we got the memory installed we checked things out in the BIOS, the memory, set to Auto, automatically set itself to run @ 200MHz, with timings of 3-4-4-8 running at 2.7V."
Memory voltage appears to be a little high.

  • 2 x FX 5900 Reviews @ NordicHardware

The two cards in question are a basic 5900 and a PowerPack! Ultra from Gainward. The two cards are not built the same.
"When it comes to the Gainward card we get even more impressive results. The card runs in 400/850 default and with the enhanced mode it gets jerked up in 440/900 and hold on to your hats now because when we push it to the max we reached as high as 500/1000 MHz. The same frequencies as a 5800 Ultra in other words."
Almost makes me want to break into doing video card reviews, almost..
