PowerColor Radeon 9800 Pro review @ Tweaktown
Published: Monday, June 16, 2003 | By: Dennis"Spending the extra $100 US or so on the other brands results in either a better looking card or upgraded cooling - a lot of people this wont bother as extra cooling can come quite cheaply and is a very easy job and as a result makes the PowerColor product a much more cost effective solution for people. "
Even at $100 less, the 9800 is still a really expensive card but at least made affordable by most, except me.

SkyHawk PSR4638 Chassis Review @ TwistedMods
Published: Monday, June 16, 2003 | By: Dennis"There is so much unnecessary stuff, I mean if they would just bind the USB and firewire connections into one plug it’d be great! Hey, at least they work though right? Also, if you look close enough you can see that they spelled motherboard wrong on the directions, so who knows if they’re accurate anyhow? "
Well, spelling is important but who reads directions these days anyways? -

Antec Sonata review @ Datafuse
Published: Monday, June 16, 2003 | By: Dennis"As the market shifts from playing games to sitting back and watching some divx'es or dvd's people tend to want smaller and quieter casing. Antec didn't really wait to long to see this, and launched their Sonata. Nothing flashy, just a very nice looking discrete case."
Nothing flashy?! I thought the times when cases looked simple and plain were gone... -
Abit IC7-G Review @ UK Gamer
Published: Monday, June 16, 2003 | By: DennisWe have reviewed the Springdale version of this board and if you compare the two you will notice quite a few differences in the layout of each board that was dictated by the targeted usage. (Springdale = mainstream/gamer, Canterwood = Workstation/high-end).
" The board comes in a fetching shade of black, which contrasts violently against the blue and purple DIMM sockets and the white PCI and CPU slots. It's not a bad colour scheme, and Abit have avoided the somewhat lame attempt by other manufacturers to jazz up their board through the use of horrible colours."
Do you think he is talking about the Gigabyte boards? -
Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000 Review @ Hardwarezoom
Published: Monday, June 16, 2003 | By: DennisThere is a ton of good info in this review around the differences between the Canterwood and Springdale chipsets. I've also noticed that this Gigabyte motherboard actually has the right amount of memory slots, the canterwood comes with 6 instead of the typical 4.
"There is only passive cooling for the northbridge chipset, which supports up to 4 RAM modules. The AGP slot is just the normal AGP8x slot and not the AGP Pro slot found in GA-8KNXP. Since this board is made to be affordable to the masses, it is justified for the manufacturer to reduce these features to cut cost." -
Coolermaster Aero 7+ Review Posted
Published: Saturday, June 14, 2003 | By: DennisIf you are looking for a very unique heatsink for that custom case the Aero 7+ might just be just what you are looking for. The Aero 7+ may not be the best choice for extreme overclocking but does do an exceptional job with a minimal amount of noise.

Abit BH7 motherboard review @ Hardware Extreme
Published: Friday, June 13, 2003 | By: Dennis"The BH7 inherits many features that we've seen in many other i845PE motherboards in the market today, in addition to the many overclocking features that we've come to expect from Abit's production line and a 800Mhz FSB support for Intel's latest Pentium 4."
Abit has been releasing great motherboards since I can remember. This one seems to be no exception. -

Albatron KM18G Pro M-ATX nForce2 review @ MonkeyReview
Published: Friday, June 13, 2003 | By: Dennis"Performance wise, I was very impressed with the results that were delivered but i was dissapointed to see the lack of advanced bios settings. To be fair, this could be rectified in the future with a bios update."
I've never been interested in M-ATX boards. Maybe because my PC hasn't been moved from it's place for over a year now.
