  • 7 Years of 3D Graphics

Published: Sunday, March 17, 2002 | By: Dennis

My first 3D Accelerator was a Matrox Mystique (isn't even listed) which later became a Millennium backed by a Voodoo 1 combo. Looking at their graph it seem like such a long time ago.

Published: Saturday, March 16, 2002 | By: Dennis

Epox has actually come a long way in recent years; their boards have become more customized with stuff like RAID controllers and onboard sound. I went to school with a Prescott but somehow I don't think this is the same. The Prescott processor is based on 0.09-micron (90nm) process and has close to 100,000,000 transistors, 800MHz FSB (200MHz Quad-Pumped), and a larger L2 cache. shock smile
